God, Schmod

I think the just because theory of being is just as good as the god created everything theory. Because in the end, when you ask someone if god created us then who created god, they give you some bullshit about him always existing. And so you have to wonder where did god come from and why and how, the best answer you'll get from anyone is just because.
The biggest problem with the whole thing is something has to start from something else. Even if there was a god where did god come from. Even if there is not, even if everything we know came from the big bang, which is a theory that holds true to each stars formation, not the creation of the entire universe. Where did the ingredients needed to start the big bang come from?
Either way, its a lot easy to believe that at one time the universe was made up of a bunch of floating particles that over time formed into the what we know rather then thinking that from the very beginning of existence there was some all knowing power that decided to create everything.
I think the biggest problem is that we think of things in the realm of time, needing a beginning and end. When in reality the universe could be more of a loop, never starting and never ending.
I don't know what anyone has already said because I never intended to follow this conversation but for some reason I am anyway.
Color, Least Favorite?
One of my design projects has to do with designing something with your least favorite colors. The concept it kind of odd, though I may have favorite colors, I have a certain respect for all color. All color has its ideal purposes. Some things just look best one thing or another. I'm not really a fan of purple, but for my final project last semester I painted it purple.
another large post
I'm loving the conversation that's been going on for the last several pages, I feel obligated to contribute. :)
Luis always wanted the lounge to have intelligent topics, cassually when he left we started having an intelligent discussion
Hell
Perhaps you are conscious that you are there, but you can't do anything
that will support what they say about hell being desperation, at least i think that'd be desperating
Maybe Hell is simply the repetition of this life
interesting theory, but what did i do to be here? :S
Perception
everything, from time to reality to afterlife and everything around us, is all a perception thing.
i've always said that, maybe we all see colors differently, but we are taught they're called the same, maybe i see red as you see green, who knows? who is here to tell us the difference?
time
It is unclear about the distinction of time and duration
I'm starting to think we are all taking time in a very large proprtion, what about when you say 'i need more tiem' or 'i dont have itme enough'.. what is time then? how fast you can do sometihng? and isnt speed the distance/time?
BigBang
the bigbang may explain how everything got where it was, but what was before the bigbang? how all that stuff got there? it is all beyond what we can understand (O.0)
patu1
i can't say my opinion
it could help you practice your english you know
String Theory
I remember reading a bit about it, it said that all dimensions are strings, and that there are many, but we only see 3 because the other ones are rolled over each other or something, i dont like that theory much, or i dont fully understand it.
I think that more than 3 dimensions would be really confusing for us, if you think about it, we are 3dimensional but we actually mostly move in 2 dimensions, cos mwe move on the gorund, if we lived in the air or the water we had to normally move higher or lower....

It's true - we all see the world differently.
That's intresting. I see there it says about while on drugs, well this one time when on them me and a friend were feeling our shirts, and commenting how my brown shirt - that's what brown feels like. He had a blue shirt, and that's what blue shirt.
There were other things too.. like we were sat in a group, and the music just made the situation warm. Then people started to drift away from the group and it got cold.
Will have to read more about this, cool :)
At 2/6/07 07:36 PM, SpaceAndTime wrote: RE: Perception, Synesthesia
Again, I have proof to back this up. There's a rare neurological condiditon called "synesthesia,"
Cool. really interesting. its sounds as a cool condition, but i guess you may sometimes wonder how it is to only see or stuff, hey really show us more examples, you see 3 blue?, i've always tought about 3 in green >.<! i guess synestesia its like when i imagine a color with a song or it has nothing to do with it? lol, well really interesting, it says that somesynestesics use it for creative stuff, do you use it for flash?
on other news, and recalling the afterlife topic, someone said something about just seeing black, i dont think you actually see, a lot of people thikn that not seeing is seeing black cause when we close our eyes (at least i do) we see black, but we actually havent stopped seeing, we just see the darkness behind our eyelids, not seeing i think is more like..umm.. do you see your back now? d o you see it black? weird huh? well dont trust me much, i have never been blind.. thanks God
Passing out
Has anyone here ever passed out/been knocked unconscious? (alcohol doesnt count)
I was in the library yesterday and I got head rush whenever I stood up from looking at the bottom shelf to look at the top shelf. Then I got really bad head rush, so bad that I briefly blacked out. So I just fell over and then regained consciousness straight away, but for a couple seconds I didn't know where I was or what had happened.
The only good side of it was that a really hot girl was there making sure I was alright afterwards. Unfortunately I had a class to go to.
I guess the moral of the story is: Don't stay up all night watching Lost and only drinking coke.

Exactly, make sure the coke has whiskey in it, for God's sake.
Passing out
Last summer i went to six flags, i had rided all those wild rolller coasters happily, but when i was on goliath, i dont know what happened, in one of the turns i remember i felt like i was dreaming, then i woke up and realized i was on the end of the ride, about to get out, and nobody noticed cause they were all scared thinking about themselves, no hot guy worried for me.
That trip to six flags made me an adrelanine addict, but i swear i dont remember much my last ride..
Re: Passing Out
I've passed out once from a head rush and twice from smashing my head really hard
The head rush was coming out of a doctors office and might have been due to this
So they though i might have skin cancer just above my chest, (its at the base of your neck just above your collar bone and below the adams apple feel around for the soft spot) And i'll be honest I hate knives and scalpels and other sharp things anywhere near me especially my neck.
Anyways so I walk into the dermatoligists or some other guys office and he tells me to lean back so he can take a skin sample, At this point I have no idea whats going on, he grabs a scalpel and starts to make a pretty deep inscision to break through a little bit of muscle tissue. So i'm light headed already from just well fear, and he makes the other insion and takes the skin. Then he stitches it back up and by that point I was a little woosy.
So I decide to stay seated for a second just to collect myself, I stand up and make it to the receptionists office hand them my insurance card get a massive head rush then black out and fall onto their floor, I woke up around 10 minutes later with the doctors and nurses over me covered in ice. They told me some medical junk gave me an aspirin to kill the feaver (anyone who has passed out knows how hot you wake up) and tell me I should be fine.
The other time I smashed heads with an opposing player going up for a corner and blacked out for about 2 minutes and the other time I fell down some stairs and was out for 30 seconds.
I have pretty low blood pressure so I get head rushes fairly frequently

I didnt loose conciousness though. I just backed up against the nearest wall
that ussually happens to me either when i stand up too fast or, like you, ocme from dark to light, but not as long as 10 seconds, m y heard hurts and i onl see black or black spots
Temporary Blindness
I lost my eyesight for a bit when I fell of the back of a car and hit my head on the street. It wasn't immediate it was like once I started realizing what was going on. I must've went into shock and from what I hear my eyes rolled into the back of my head. I was pretty scared, going blind after a head injury, as you can imagine, is quite scary. This is ONE of the reasons why my head is not quite as round as it should be anymore. But yea, being blind, in that case at least, is really more or less the same as having your eyes closed.
Lightheaded
My friend once told me how when he gets light headed, he likes to just start running till he falls over. I won't lie, I've tried it and it is kinda fun. Every now and then I'll jump right out of bed and just spring to the bathroom, cause I'm going there anyway, and I'll start getting a head and seeing spots and whatnot. Makes me need to lean up against something as I pee.
There was one time when I was quite lightheaded that I tasted metal in my mouth, that was odd. It means something, but I forget, or never knew.

Edward
I can't hold this game in much longer, and even though I'd love to give actual game play previews, I still wanna keep it a secret :) Anyways, here are some screen shots of my new game with True Darkness, Edward.
Action Screen :O
Still Screen
We've actually just started a few days ago, so it'll be in the making for another few weeks, so start exercising your vote 5 finger.
Passing Out
I have passed out once before as well. My brother strangled me until i passed out. When I woke up I was shaking and felt really cold. I had no idea where I was at all.
I assume I have low blood sugar or whatever because I get headrush quite a bit too. Actually I used to get it more than I have recently, excluding yesterday's pass out.
Passing Out
You guys need to drink more milk.
Blindness Some More
Imagine going to bed fine but waking up blind. I mean that would have to be really confusing. I'd probably think I was still asleep, or lost the ability to open my eyes. Ya know?
Blindness
i would probably think its just still night and go back to sleep then some time later shat my pants
Blindness
I get temporarily blind on a daily bases(kinda).
My room has a different amount of light come in then the kitchen so if I walk in there at the right time I can't see for a minute and then I get sore eyes. It doesn't hurt vice versa but I think the light change is subtle but great enough to confuse my eyes.
Blindness
yeah that happens to me a lot too or like when you first turn your light off to go to sleep it is pitch black and you cant see anything and then like 2 mins later you can see everything.. do you ever get those weird squiggle lines that go in front of your eyes but you cant really control where they go... does anyone know what they are?

The first one is your eyes need to focus on the light, where your pupils get bigger if its dark or smaller if its bright(which is the same that happenned to me).
I'll let someone else explain the latter, I'ma sleep now.

Dust. It's pretty fun trying to keep them centered because they slide according to gravity and eye surface momentum. :P

Yeah I get those. They look like little road maps to me, like I have some kind of satellite navigation system in my head :P
Who will have the first post of page 300? >:D

It's even more fun when you're walking home with glasses on on a dark, wet day. Street lights and things shine through the water droplets on your lenses, which kind of act like magnifiers and you see all these weird worm type things. Freaky stuff :P
Why do you even bother? I'm gonna get the first 300th page post for sure anyway. You're wasting your time.
you know toast has his trixz.
I know, let's go for the last post of two hundred! :D!
