3.48, seems to be a fair score. This guy doesn't seem to over-rated to me. Then again, I haven't seen his other work and I intend to shut my computer off in about 10 minutes cause I'm lagging so much it isn't funny.
HO HO HOPE you become a Newgrounds Supporter this year!
We're working hard to give you the best site possible, but we have bills to pay and community support is vital to keep things going and growing. Thank you for considering!

Weird Voting Happenings

Yup, obviously. It happened to me too once. It's just that you're the one who cast the final vote, it doesn't have anything to do wether you bad or good on it.
RE: Highest score
Think I saw yuyu at 4.90 but most likely 4.80 it was above 4.80, I think it was 4.90 something...
RE: Weird voting happenings
If a movie is gonna pass but you give it a zero as the last person to vote it makes sense that the saviour window would appear, because to compencate for that there would have to be four windows, one for if you tried to fail a flash but it makes, like it says the flash was saved but not so much by you.

face it, everyones lifes can be simplified down to numbers, so you have to care about a bunch of numbers, be it your age, paycheck, cah balence, bill and other stuff ;)
i bet if you worked hard on a movie only for it to get 2/5 or even blammed you'd be fucking pissed off ;)

Yeah, life runs on numbers, but to try to up your numbers to impress a bunch of people on the internet who you will most likely never meet? That is a sad persons life. The only reason I'm a level 10 is because when I'm bored and waiting for a forum reply/ new topic I go vote on shit. It doesn't control my life, like it may control some other peoples. I'm more into looking for acceptance and fame in the real world, not the internet.
Embarrassing Traits
I've started watching large amounts of anime on youtube in Japanese. The worst part would be that the most recent show I started watching is about a socially awkward high school student with lots of lady-troubles and a fetish for strawberry panties, but aren't they all?
Bold Tittles
We stop using these? Because I have to say I've become quite attached.

He was huge back in 2003 or 2004. When he came out with enter the matrix everyone orgasmed, and it wasn't even that good. Well, at least not his parts.
How do you guy's produce really good fire without the potential lag?
Here's an example of fire I did
But if too many fire symbols are on the stage it lags like hell. My question is: is there any ways to create real neat looking flames without it causing huge lag.

FBF it.
RE: My Game Idea
No one wants to do a game with me? Just so you know, I posted it somewhere on the last too pages.
Would it be too much to PM a game coder, asking if they'll code it?

Ah god god so fucked last night. Alot of stuff was going through my head and this is the jist of it. I was walking through town and thinking my legs were feeling strangely like a robot.. like I was half man half robot. Then, I started talking in my head like I was writing a 'captains log', so pausing every so often in a sophisticated 'Dr.Watson' way.
Argh I thought about so much it was getting horrible towards the end, I was sick and that brought me back a bit, then I just wandered home and climbed into bed.
Never wanna get that stoned again.. but I have two joints next to me.. and can't let 'em go to waste :/

Everyone has his own tastes, personally I like role playing games if they have enough action - some people don't and there's nothing wierd about that. You can call people who think this kind of things is boring a boring person, but you wouldn't call someone who thinks phillosophy and litterature boring a boring person, would you? People always say the same thing to me when I say I don't *really* listen to music, humans have the right to be different, ya know. (Note: No, I'm not defending luis because he's my e-wife, it's just my opinion)
RE: Voting... MEH.
I think that's the longest post I've ever seen you write Toast :D. Anyway, pissing off aside, i vote more on the effort someone has made on something, rather than the quality, generally. Say if someone spent a month or so on something, but because they were new, it had glitches or was laggy, I'd still give it a 5 because they worked hard on it. I think that's the fairest way to vote :).
No one wants to put flash on my site :(.

loel no, it's just the new toast-fashion. My longest post couldn't fit in 3 posts, and I had the 4posts limit. I also had lots of very long posts on the politics forum, but that's enough information for now, go study your toast history lessons and come back when you're ready for the evaluation.

Haha, i take it back, this is the longest single post I've ever seen you make :P.
Not that I've made any longer :P.

AS war
Just thinking about the AS war, would something simillar to that be possible but a different type of game? It would be aimed at more Aniamtors and ASers to team up, I have in mind a heavily-ruled platform type 'war'. What do you think, would something like that be possible?

If you can come up with some way to organise it, sure.

Hah, fuck that. I'm guessing it would need all rules and shit written out in code. I got no chance, anyway before talking about who's gunna run it gotta find out what it is. Was just bringing it up for suggestion.
Toast Spam, Stop it
Can you guys stop contributing to spam and or encouraging Toast to spam. Does you alls discussion of his posting really need to extend through two pages??
Probably not. Sorry

Re: AS Wars
Glaiel was planning on something maybe for the next AS one, but it would be awesome to have a animator/game developer team matches, Im not sure how, but it can be done.
A lot of consideration should be put into an AS competition before you start one. It's a LOT of work to set up, and to debug the entire system to make sure its balanced and fair is incredibly difficult. AB and I were clearing bugs right before the second matches, it was crazy.
Another consideration is how you can involve those who are not the best at actionscript, but still give them a shot to participate. The code system that NC set up a year ago catered to that, so that's why a similar structure was built for this competition.
Hi there!

I really can't see any way of combining artists and programmers unless the artist designed the machine, as in, make a sprite for it. That'd be more work for the programmer though and you'd probably need to dish out awards for the best-looking as-robot...
Yeah. You're going along the lines of what I was thinking. The artist would draw typical Platformer sprites (run/jump/walk/hit etc) then the ASer would code it. Whatever the artist could draw could be classified as another move.
Actually, here's a bit of an idea..
Right, there's a list of all sprites that can be done by the artist. They do as many as they want to. Then, the art is rated, and points disributed to the team to share across the upgrades options*. The ASers part would mainly be coding up clever AI.. and I got no idea what else.
I was thinking for the levels that they would literally, be levels. Just loads of levels piled up on each other and the bots would jump up and down them to shoot at each other.
* Upgrade options - Points would be moved about here over strength, speed, power etc

This is all just suggestions, so suggest away.
