Also just read this and made me think of this thread:

An American man moves to the U.K. to find some work. He manages to find a job in a bank.

On his first day, the boss tells him to sweep up the floor.

"Excuse me? I'm from one of the best colleges in the U.S.A.!"

"Oh, I'm so very sorry!" replied the bank manager. "Let me call someone in to show you how to do it."

The default profile thing at the top has been bothering me. It shows up after years of using chrome and expects me to embrace it...

As someone with by far the most powerful PC in a house full of gamers, I quite enjoy that feature.

How do you guys #ifdef in other languages? No matter how I format it, it looks bad.

for the case you're showing i would use an actual variable there instead of preprocessor junk

That's not fancy enough. That would let me switch between the two, but I can't imagine a time when you'd want to change the perspective angle like that.

That's never going to happen. I tried to use it once and honestly I couldn't figure it out. It's really complicated and kept erroring on me. (this was a couple of weeks ago)

Google rewards you for using Google's stuff in SEO.
Also rewards you for using other social media, though, so take that with a grain of salt.

Like rewards me how? Makes my personal stuff more easy to find? But only my friends can see it right?

(I don't do the social network thing very well :P)

If you have Google+ links (or any social links for that matter) on your site you get ranked higher. I actually think Google+ is really nice, it's not too bad to navigate but they dumped so many features in it to begin with that it's a little overwhelming.

I had to make a g+ for taking a class online during the summer. Hangouts are nice, and it auto muted my loud keyboard (unlike Skype where I have to mute myself). Too many features and moving things on the homepage though.

Speaking of keyboards, it's NG payday, and I'm getting a new board and mouse. Cherry browns this time instead of blues so that people will stop hating me. Too late for my freshman roommate.

I'm slowly turning my PC into a lightshow with extra cash I save from work. I'm just about done upgrading the hardware (more RAM, SSD, and the 780Ti is all that's left) and I decided to start making it look fancy instead of some piece from 1990 which is what it looks like now.

I usually end up replacing headphones, but my iphone5 earbuds have lasted a while now. I often got 6-10 months of use out of any, and these have been going strong for a year, year and a half? Plus the mic is decent, though I've stopped using it in dota bc it antagonizes certain people. Nothing professional, but I don't have a youtube channel to worry about.

If you mean for coding, and haxe coding at that, http://www.haxestudio.com/ is probably less shit than when I tried it in december.

fuck it, go nano

Gedit is standard, default, and works fine. Syntax highlighting and not much else, but meh.
Geany is fantastic.

Thing with Linux programming IDEs is that all look and for the most part work the same.
So pick one with a cool name, I guess?

Forced to use vim this sem, I just want to 'dd' this subject because we're penalized if we use the likes of a file manager + gedit.

2 x 2gb of 1333Mhz RAM costs $50 here in Australia. 8gb is more than double that (I've seen some being sold for $170). That's dirt cheap wherever you are!
