i'll write the whole thing out again

before i do anything wrong

i was wondering if i can post (a link to) unfinished work in order to get a fresh opinion on how to change it, its about 3 and a half seconds max but my eye has gotten so used to seeing it, i can't figure out what i need to change and currently i am unhappy with it.

Shit, a bunch of stuff got deleted here but it was about how your games are good even if they have code that people look down upon.
You can also use the fact that you are a mod and have organised one of the biggest projects on Newgrounds and they probably have played it too.The fact that a guy was implementing for you to hire him as a graphic designer is sad too, your graphics may not be the best but they aren't taking away from the game and are of decent quality.You're one of those few people on Newgrounds who can make a game which is farely simple and make it really fun, sometimes I don't think you have to try to make a good game because to me they seem so simple(hope this doesn't offend you).
Plus you seem to have combined quality and quantity pretty good.

And those people who complain about Luis using a mouse are idiots too, he has mastered one of the toughest tools when it comes to digital yet people complain that he doesn't take the simpler route, he has even received a tablet for free yet I'll be surprised if you uses it.The one thing I want to see is the difference that the tablet has on his skills, by this I mean what his animations would look like and if they're any better then him with a mouse.

I know one person who is snobby but not with Flash, instead with photography. He acts like he is the greatest thing that ever happenned to my school, I heard he even spent over $100 on a photography assignment This is the same person who made fun of my tablet too, which brings me to my next point.He boasts about his $600 AUD Intuos3 but he only uses it when it comes to photomanipulation that is used to touch up on an image, such as making a flower brighter.The funny thing is that he claims he has one for the fact that other proffesionals do, I had my 6x8 Graphire3 before I knew that Wacom was one of the best tablet makers, I bought one for the fact that I suck at drawing with the mouse and it was a good buy, I probably used my tablet more then he did but he acts like his life depends on it.I have to admit that when my tablet broke I get pretty sad about that but I couldn't do FbF, now if his broke it wouldn't be much of a bid deal he could just use the Pen Tool in conjunction with the Paintbrush Tool. Though if I see him again I'm gonna ask for his tablet specs and see if my new one is better, I got a pretty good deal on it because it was a display model but it was in just about perfect condition. It's an 9x12 Intuos3 and I had saved $200 AUD on it.My old tablet got fixed the day after I got it which was a bit lucky because I'll still be using it, but if I don't then my cousin might want it for he does Flash too but is more into music.

I do however know somebody who is a beginner at Flash and keeps bugging me to collab with him and says that tablet use is cheating, he does show me a lot of crap he has done but he doesn't understand how to make good graphics with the line tool and the fact that just because somebody is new at something that everyone is going to say it is good no matter what the quality is.

Well, this is a more a general Flash discussion forum, and it would make more sense for you to start a thread and ask for help there. Plenty of people will make fun of you, me included probably, but just ignore them and look over the good stuff.

I'm going to bed now, but I suppose if you post a link, I can look it over and give you some commments in a PM tomorrow.

Overall the drawing is very simplistic, but that doesn't make it bad. On the hand gesture, you may want to consider making the farther right knuckle smaller. And also, the area of a finger where the fingernail lies is usually lighter than the rest of the hand.

I thought it was okay... If you had to fix anything, I would say make the finger bend less and draw the objects cleaner.

i changed what you suggested and it worked out really well

the yellow was to represent dirt, as the character you later learn is a monkey, but it does run without as much of an eye sore as a softer color

and with the knuckle being smaller it seems to look more realistic, i'm considering adding another knuckle, but i don't really want a 5 fingured character, so i simply made it smaller seems to look better, although more resizing is in order which i will do later

to the less bend in fingure guy, i assume your meaning the index finger, any suggestions on this, i've tried less fingure showing on the bottom or should i straighten it out more so the second knuckle is less bending if you get what i'm saying

thank you very much dingo it helped a hell of a lot, and i'll work on making the fingure bend less although i'm not great with perspective so i'm a little unsure of how that would look,

to the choppy guy, like i said earlier i'm bad with perspective so it was really hard for me to visualize the hand, i'm gonna erase some of the inbetweens and see how that looks

Don't let them get to you. Flash Snobs

Hmm. I think that to be on this site for as long as I have you sort of have to build up a shield of sorts for people who pass by the site. NG is sort of like high school where theres always people out there miserable and want to take a swing at you in an attempt to make you miserable too, its that whole envy thing.

If there is such a thing as a flash snob, i think that its the established portal users who never bother to become part of the community, they are really good artists/actionscripters but they never bothered to explore this part of the newgrounds world. Their loss really, i can recall alot of cool stuff that happend this year as a result of the community. Sketchbook Tour, the gift exchange thingie, that flash wiki, and other things that i cant think of right now.

Well, i don't really deal with them myself. Most people who say they can make better flash can. haha. actually, no one has really said that to me, and i think it's because people who are genuinely talented at flash artists are also wise. wise enough to not flaunt their skill and just be appreciative of it

I agree with luis. I think they are people who get success through newgrounds, then never return the favor by visiting once in a while. Also, people who churn out stuff that is crap, but that will get a high score because of their reputation is snobby. But i suppose it isn't the authors fault on that part.

Anyone noticed that P-Bot hasn't been updated in 3 days, strange eh? What other glitches have you noticed on NG. I remember when the Front page Archive wasn't updated for about 2 weeks or so, but that was just a human error ;P.
