At least we spell "laser" correctly. Spelling it "lazer" is just silly: light amplification by ztimulated emission of radiation, eh?

Pretty sure it's "zebra emission." The only time I've ever seen the z is in the Lazer Collection, and that's a big parody series. Do people actually spell it that way seriously?
It's spelled "lazer" in U.S. English so far as I know. I tried looking it up, and Google and The Free Dictionary accept it as a real word, but Dictionary.com and Webster's does not.
So maybe I'm just an idiot...

"Hip" businesses have a tendency to replace s's with z's, e's with backwards 3s, that kind of stuff. "Laz3r Tag" is a thing.

You're not, the first time I saw "lazer" spelled with an "s" was when I read a post from someone outside the U.S.
On a quick side-note, Chrome sees the "z" as a type-o.

I've never seen fenix. I like sulphur but prefer sulfide. I say aluminum but half the time I end up typing aluminium.
Fone? That's just ignorant.
No one has mentioned the atrocious way Americans pronounce aluminium
Which way is that? Us Canucks pronounce it ah/uh-loom-in-um (at least every Canadian whom I know does), which I figure is the aforementioned atrocious way. :(
My grandparents on my mother's side were born and raised in Scotland, so I have plenty of exposure to the U.K. way of pronouncing words, but aluminium has never come up.

This right here.
I could care less.
I find it a bit ironic that americans are a minority in this thread recently. You're just picking on us now.
possibly in this forum looking at how some of these threads are written

It's only because most Americans aren't literate ;)
When did that topic suddenly become that much interesting?

I soon as I left it.
According to ng, it's been 4 months since I last updated my project swf rather than 4 mins. It also resets the width and height every time I update which is annoying when the game's dimensions aren't the defaults.
I'm glad to see Blizzard having fun with their e-mails xD
Greetings to you, Egg!
Krizgut, our goblin inventory manager, has retrieved your recently-purchased Hearthstone card packs from his secret stash, hidden deep within our sealed vaults. Not a soul can say exactly what cards you'll find inside. Will there be an Epic? Maybe a Legendary? We can't wait to find out!
...
...
Krizgut thanks you for your purchase and would like you to know that the teleportation process for your packs went smoothly, and they have rematerialized under your Hearthstone account. Time to open them up! Just launch Hearthstone, and tap the Open Packs button in your Hearthstone box.
Great luck to you in your duels, champion!

Maplestory. It was fun until the creators/maintainers got greedy. Then you had to spend hundreds of dollars to deal average damage for your level. I did a bunch of those survey websites, made $150, and spent it all on the game instead of amazon giftcards or something useful. Allowances, gift money...yeah. Never again.

I have dota, hearthstone, and assassin's creed 4 to spend all my time on. Just started ac4, but there's some mystery lag coming from the game itself (even with audio settings at minimum). Something to do with my graphics card and triple buffering or something dumb.
*runs around with a full cart of boxes with games*
Holy shit steam sale!.. D:

Hi, guys. I've been rather busy lately, so I haven't checked in for a while. I saw the Global Game Jam thing on the front page, and the timing will be 100% perfect for me (weekend after my mid-sessional exams), so I really wanted to join. Unfortunately, my local jam site set an age restriction barring me from participating. Grrrr...

Why didn't you pretend to be older? It's just a site.

Er, GGJ sites are physical sites. You actually have to go there.

Let's imagine that you have an older brother.
var X=your older brother;
If, let's say, you made X go instead of you, and you made the game instead of X (X is acting only as your pass into the jam, X doesn't actually do anything), would that work??
