dont want to make a new topic on this but flash (cs5) doesnt seem to support paragraphs, obviously you can press enter and make a new line but i need to reduce the space between two paragraphs using line spacing doesnt work as it makes all other lines of text overlap. Any idea?

Set the submission type to "Game" no matter what type of submission you want to add medals to. Tom told me to do so when I added medals to The Game Trailer Collab.

no I play protoss, I just don't "get" zerg enough to play it.

Hey guys, just dropping a question here, didn't see the necessity to open a thread just for that.

I used to fiddle around with Flash 8, so I'm used to AS2. Nothing special, just basics.

Most tutorials are in AS3 now, which is obvious. But, holy shit, it's so different. I know actionscript files themselves aren't anything new, but it's only recently that everyone seems to be using them, as well as packages, public classes and such.
I'm used to just coding everything into the objects, not using independent .as files.

So what I basically am asking is where should I start to learn about AS3? I'm not talking about specific funtctions, rather a general info and help on it.

As you mentioned, there are thousands of tutorials out there about AS3. My suggestion is to read up on those, and maybe get a book on AS3 for reference.

I'm not sure exactly how experienced you are in AS2, but I was able to make the switch rather seamlessly. It took me a little under a week to feel comfortable with AS3 after two years of AS2 experience. I pretty much just converted old AS2 files into AS3 for a while, all while reading up on the documentation.

It may seem quite a bit different from AS2 but trust me, the fundamentals of the language are the same.

I once got banned for telling someone to torrent the Flash trial, because they said the download speed with the Adobe downloader was painfully slow (or some shit like that). Why do people associate torrents with piracy and illegal downloads? I find torrenting a huge folder of photos, or my WC3 map when I attempted to make one is a lot more efficient than sending over an IM client, or uploading it somewhere.
