Hey guys,
I have a problem with steam, I cannot buy two of the same game, one as a gift, one as a personal. The store won't let me and I don't want it in 2 separate transactions, is there any way around this?
thanks.

Alright, I just finished Assassin's Creed 2, and I noticed in the credits it said : "Powered by Adobe Flash". What could they possibly have used flash for in there?

Aside from that, the ending is really mind-blowing, although far fetched at some points.

Error - Your width of 950 is larger than our maximum width of 942

Well that's real fucking neat that is.

The water in Majorca don't taste like what it oughta.

I noticed that too, and I have absolutely no idea what they would use Flash for.

I liked the first one much better in terms of story. It made more sense.

Yeah, 942 is such a strange width. Why not just make it an even 940 or 950?

How much did fancy pants earn on sponsorship? And how much would a game of good quality earn now-a-days?

Because Adobe is an an American company and we're too fucking retarded to adapt to a numbering system that works in tens/hundreds/thousands.

12 inches in a foot? 36inches in a yard? 3 feet in a yard? How fucking stupid. 4 cups in a... you get the point.

I'm not sure about fancy pants, but great games can earn a ton nowadays. Check out this guy's blog.

Well the phrase "Powered by Adobe Flash" implies that the game runs on Flash. If it's just the menu then the notification is very misleading.

Yeah, the Imperial System or whatever it's called is ridiculous. I use the metric system whenever I can, it makes much more sense.

The funniest thing was that today whilst driving back to newcastle from london there was a sign just as we got onto the M1 from london which said 'Services: 3m 29m' as in: 3 miles and 29 metres which to be honest i think is a little over the top. I mean, at least be consistent in which system you're going to work with :P

@DEL that's pretty insane. Choose metric. Maybe that will get (U.S.) to stop being so stubborn. :)

As for Assassin's Creed 2 (and 1 for that matter), they used Flash for menu bullshit, update messages, objectives, world maps, credits, and certain efx. It is most certainly not powered by Flash. It just uses some Flash assets, and the folks at Ubisoft Montreal don't have their panties in a twist, like Apple does, about admitting it.

4-pixel border on each side, + 942 width swf = 950 total width

it's called ScaleForm, and something like 90% of professional games use it for UI

Has anyone here used medals with AS2 before? I've implemented the medals, and the popup is showing up, but when I try it on newgrounds, the medal doesn't register neither on the game's page nor on my profile. I took a look at the .fla and I get the error:

[Newgrounds API ERROR] :: securePacket() - Unknown Error: Malformed secure packet! Your encryption key may be missing or invalid.

Despite the fact that I tripled checked my encryption key. I'm calling the medals using:

com.newgrounds.API.unlockMedal("Halfway There");

Is there something I'm missing here?

no i just have some laying around and they're gonna expire soon so im asking around teh intrawebs. it's probably only gonna let you for a few days but I think it's worth it; besides being great fun, the game is also pretty innovative. 3D FPS's is something that needs to be done more.

give me the Ender's Game video game i've been waiting for so long please.
