you win by not playing.

it's a deep zen expierence. think about it.
Itd definately win at the Indiecade festival
indie 'interactive art' designers

i support indiecade because they are tying the gap between games and gallery art. i'm interested in seeing what will come of it in years later

Its called project Natal and it will fail in terms of games, though i could totally see like gallery art as a game.. you move your hand and it takes a good 30 seconds but then something changes but ever so slightly..

Beautiful.

had an idea for a ninja game when tom announced robot day, so grabbed an old unfinished level editor / game and hacked this ninja thing into it

http://www.newgrounds.com/dump/item/897e 1e7812e3b9c2f3b309233f64a0bc
(grab the focus when in the editor, then hit space to play the level. The only control is clicking. you have to hit space a few times to restart if you die/lose, the interface is a bit bad atm just ignore it)

sample levels to try

I may be. It's tempting. It's either that or wait for Modnation Racers, but after the Modnation demo...ya, will probably be getting RDR.

OMG ADOBE DID SOMETHING RIGHT

I reported a glitch that everyone was having with the rc4 of flash player 10.1 beta wherein compiling nape from AS3 using the haxe compiled .swc would simply cause browser to crash.

Well rc5 has fixed that, and also bumped up performance even more than it already did:

the big massive pyramid demo (excluding initial lower fps due to flash player getting it's JIT on)

fp10 (haXe/AS3) : 34fps
fp10.1 rc4 (haXe) : 40fps
fp10.1 rc5 (AS3/haXe) : 50fps

:D

Ok. So sometime I'm goin' to draw all the Duders Marvel Comic style and pop it on my art thingy. I think it'll be a nice challage.
Also, my new animation goal is killer movement. No more stand or sit and just talkin. Fully animated duder time. Next ep is goin to be awesome.

nothing special about those episodes. vampires one was your typical monsters-that-turn-out-to-be-aliens episode, and the last one was kinda smarter but for some reason it wasnt very enjoyable either. despite being very cheesy and unrealistic, the "epic" is what makes the best doctor who episodes. even though dalek episodes usually suck, it's often more enjoyable to watch episodes where the universe is about to be destroyed, or even worse, "time itself would never exist in the first place" or some bullshit like that, rather than some space vampires in a city no one gives a shit about, or deadly aliens in a dream ...

Ok flash gurus, is there a way to allow clicks to pass through a transparent as3 (wmode enabled) .swf to html content beneath it?

(Beneath it on the z-axis/depth, not the y)

Yeah Vampires of Venice was a bit of a let down, although it did have some funny moments, like the library card and the banter between The Doctor and Rory.

and the last one was kinda smarter but for some reason it wasnt very enjoyable either

Really? I thought Amy's Choice was one of the best episodes this series.

even though dalek episodes usually suck

I know what those words mean, but that sentence makes no sense.

You guys are ridiculous. People make fan stuff of what they like and mario/sonic/zelda are the heavy hitters in the nerd categories. Yes lots of days are slow for original content but whatever, if you don't like seeing a "Zelda parody 200" here and there then just don't look at it. It shouldn't bother you because its just a toon on the net.

I mean i know that saying "Makes me wish the games were never created" is an exaggeration, but still :/ Its annoying always hearing complaints after complaints about everything.

amirite?

yeyeeee

I took a stab at this, and it was easy enough to get working in IE, but in FF and Chrome it actually seems to be impossible. After finding a lot of people asking this exact question without getting a proper answer as well as this post explicitly saying it's not possible I decided to give up :P

If you're not ready to give up you should ask in the programming forum as this is more of an HTML question.

Sorta but I kinda disagree. It's not that we hate the movies. It's that we are disappointed that the people who watch it think its amazing. The reason why that is important is because if so many people like that more than other content, no new content or jokes or whatever will ever emerge. We need more troops to just flat out discourage it so we can all move on, but you guys are feedin the trolls!
