Whoa, calm down. I couldn't care less about Wasim. He can troll all he wants to. It's just hilarious to me how his posts keep getting deleted.

Every post in this thread is troll bait. You telling me not to post troll bait is even better troll bait than my posts replying to his trolling.

GENETICS IN FLASH
I have actually been working on something similar. The idea came to me during my Biology class a few months ago, and about two weeks ago I started working on a sweet "engine" if you can call it that. It's really cool to see how things evolve in so many unexpected ways. I just love to code something with almost no idea what the end result will be. The element of surprise is a nice twist to programming, and it is often inspiring.

I've only seen a few games with genetics as a core concept. The Island of Dr. Brain had a genetics puzzle based around Mendel's ideas of dominant and recessive traits (breeding androids for fun and profit), there was the utterly inpenetrable SimLife which simulated entire ecosystems and slow evolution, and the badly executed Gene Wars which didn't. I suppose I could add Monster Rancher and Pokemon and the chocobo breeding minigame from FFVII as well, but they weren't as inherent to the game.
Want to know what you're up to here Archon. :D
...
HTML5 isn't meant for games
the only reason people are comparing it to flash is because most of the ignorant internet population thinks flash is only for videos on youtube
of course flash is dead.... for video. For games it's going nowhere.

This has been the only thing that has managed to convince me that half decent games might be possible in HTML5. Pretty nice, Ive already copied the source and released 3 new versions and claimed all the credit though.
I just really dont see the point to be honest, especially with plugin installations so discreet these days. I'd expect Unity to overtake Flash in browser games before anything else does.
It would be nice if flash dealt with rotation in radians by default but I suppose I can just set a property rotationRad and set it so that rotation = (rotationRad*180)/PI But still, meh.
Aww I love it when you update Flash and onion skinning stops working! Oh Adobe, you utter cunts.
this is not what i need 9 days before hand in...
Flash is such a stupid program in terms of ui, and bugs, and programming. It's just pretty stupid.
Season 2 of the office is amazing. The Fight (where dwight punches michael and fights him in a karate duel) and The Injury (where dwight has a concussion) are absolutely hilarious. I used to think Michael was the main reason the show is funny, but he gets old fast and Dwight is surprisingly awesome in the earlier seasons. I have yet to watch season 1 and the rest of season 2.
My room is almost done ;)
Decorated still needs to be finished.
But my new bed came a couple of weeks ago and my parents have just finished making my huge desk ;)
I think I'll post pictures.
That is all.

The Office is a great series, although it's definitely getting quite old and repetitive so I'm not too sad to see it end after the next season (which I think it will as Steve Carell says it probably will be his last season. No Michael = no The Office).
I've also got the speakers working for both of the systems.

I have a feeling this will turn into a "Show your workspace" kind of thread ;)
Would it be worth, buying a widescreen TV, and have that in the middle of the 2 screens I have at the moment? Or is 3 screens not needed?
Your chair looks comfy. Mine's breaking apart.
Great chair though...
How many wanks have you had in that?

Speaking of patchman, here's 1/4th of a picture i'm working on
I've only got a shitty webcam that i couldn't actually move far enough away to take a full on picture, but here we are:
dual 21" 1920x1080 full 1080p HD tv-screens + monitors
also out of view is the rest of my speakers, my wii, my n64 and my ps3

I like your setup Sam. It's very clean and orderly. The office is clean and orderly, the laptop is always MIA from the wife, and my 3D/music area should probably be in a Criminal Duder's short. :)
Witness the problem:
hahaha, haxe.FastList written with caXe for AS3 compilation.
iterating over a large list of ints and summing them:
(AS3) Vector.<Int> = 55ms
(AS3) FastList(int) = 18ms
(haXe) FastList<int> = 16ms
