I probably could get a decent version up within two hours, but this is turning out better than I thought from the beginning so I would rather spend an extra day or two on going from decent to good.

I was just curious as to what a lot of you established artists actually did for work, career wise, and how much money internet animation made you every week on average? I am simply asking out of curiosity, as I am contemplating getting into animation and pursuing it more vividly. I'm not driven by the idea of making money, but I was curious because, its a plus.

Thats impossible, its not a science. If your game sucks you can have awesome graphics and still make considerably less that what you 'deserve' at the same time, you can make a fairly simple well executed game and possibly make 2 or 3 times more the investment of time to create it.

Not an exact, two decimal place average, just anything. Is it around $40 extra dollars a year, or $400 extra dollars a month. That's all.

today i set out to make a pico day movie. i was planning to work hard on this movie for two weeks until pico day.

A lot of people make a living out of flash games. There are games that can get sold for $1000, some that can get sold for $5000, and others that can get sold for $60,000+.

Check out FlashGameLicense if you're interested in making money from flash games.

As long as you can consistently produce good games in a regular time period you can probably survive. It's probably around 3k to 10k dollars per game on average (for pretty good games at least). Some games like Steambirds went with a deal around 25k i believe. It all depends on quality like the others said. But the other important thing to remember is you have to be consistent like any other job, and be able to budget time towards certain projects.

I finally got around to adding an "Advanced Rectangle" tool to my DrawingTools class. I can finally draw rounded rectangles with varying curve radii for each corner without having 10 confusing lines of code in the middle of everything to do the same thing for me.

I was surprised that the drawRoundRect() method didn't offer more customization.

Internet animation makes me no money. In fact, it's such a huge time hog, that it probably costs me money, in the end. I really don't care though. I have more than enough cash, and I like making my dirty music and cartoons with the absolute freedom to never have to please anyone other than myself. That might sound selfish, but it is my truth.

Very cool approach to making enemies smarter with each "wave" i would guess to say. Especially considering that the idea seems to be working as you are progressing with this game. I also have to say the graphics look stunning and I'm sure will get even more so once you add whatever it is you have in mind. Good luck on it :)
