EPIC NIGHT

So i was heading out to vancouver to meet my girlfriend (an hour bus ride away), but she wasn't available. We were planning on checking out the theory of a deadman concert but she suddenly got an assload of homework dumped on her so we couldn't go. I milled around for about an hour in vancouver before deciding to head back.

When i'm reaching the skytrain station where i transition to the bus, i see like 6 of my friends just hanging out there. I ask where they were going, and they said they were heading to Vancouver to go see the "Said the Whale" concert, and i decided to go with them. I just took an hour long bus ride home, just to take an hour long bus ride back.

It was such a great night. We walked all around Vancouver at night, and during the olympics, Vancouver at night is very similar to PAX. Everyone is friendly, people start up conversations and borrow things without knowing anyone and no one cares. The only difference is lack of nerds and more drunk/high people. At the concert "Hey Ocean" opened up and they were amazing. Go check out their song "The Beatboxer who Broke my Heart." The "Said the Whale" concert started and things got amazing. The lead singer found out that there was a couple on their first date on the skating rink just behind the concert stage, so he got them to live out one of his fantasies where a couple kisses on their first date while he's playing a certain song. That's when two of my friends Ben and Dini decided to make out spontaneously. I honestly never saw it coming.

Concert was great. Night was great. Friends were great.

The only thing that would've made it better is if my friend brought some pot, but he thought no one would smoke it with him because he didn't realize i was coming.

Great night altogether though.

Also we bought toy lightsabers off of a random street vendor and drunk guys were asking for pictures with it all night.
