It's really annoying when someone posts in here with some half-assed AS2 code (on a MovieClip) that he copied and pasted from some random tutorial.

I also hate when these same people remake tutorials that sucked in the first place.

I still do. For absolutely everything.
Every single answer on these forums from me has probably been copy-pasted from some source or another. Whenever I talk about a nice technique or a faster way of doing something, I've just copied the information off of something I've found on Google. I'm not actually a programmer; I just know how to look things up.
As dishonourable as it sounds, a lot of people around here could do well to learn how to use Google.

Flash Ads
One of my major irks with Flash ads is that if they don't load properly, they mask the animation/game. Of course, I have a slow internet connection, so I see this often.
Normally this means little more than refreshing the page and making sure I wait this time before I hit 'Play', but in the case of [non-saving] games with ads between levels or, even worse, before something like bonus levels unlocked by completing the game, this can mean having to play through the entire game again (such an event inspired this rant).
As far as I'm aware, this is the case with all Flash advertising code. I find it curious how it hasn't been repaired yet. Perhaps no-one in a relevant position knows that it's happening?
