Best comment about Michael Jacksons death thus far comes from English comedian Alan Davies from Twitter:

alandavies1: Poor Jacko, it's not over yet, he'll be out of that hospital, with a pack of zombies behind him, dancing to 'Thriller' any minute now.

That's the spirit.

But yes, twitter and facebook statuses are full of Michael Jackson tributes and jokes.. I noticed on my facebook nearly every one who had placed a MJ-is-dead joke in their status had at least 1 comment saying "have respect, he's a legend" or something along the lines of that. He was a brilliant musician and he had some of the best pop songs we've ever heard (and I'm sure we will be hearing them all over TV and radio for the next month or so, no bad thing).. so it's sad to see him go, but that doesn't mean we can't have a laugh about it. He was a very strange man. I don't believe he was a paedophile, but it doesn't stop me laughing at jokes about it.. RIP Wacko Jacko :X

Weird intellectucal performance tendancies
For the past few years my sleeping times have really changed a lot, but this year it got really crazy. You usually won't find me going to sleep anytime before 3 AM, although I have to wake up at 7 AM in the morning, and during weekends I usually go to sleep early in the morning and wake up late in the afternoon. On holidays it's even worse, I usually end up sleeping so late, that, when I have to go back to school, it's easier to just not sleep all day and then sleep early in the evening rather than going to bed earlier so that I can wake up at 7 AM.

Now throughout the year, I started noticing that often times, unless im busy playing games or practicing activities that involve hand movement next to a certain region of the body, I have a lot more motivation to do stuff at night than I usually have. I thought maybe it's because I'm more awake at night, but actually it seems like, besides the occasional errors due to tiredness, I'm at the top of my intellectual abilities when I'm really tired at 7 AM or something after having stayed up the whole night. For some reason I get a lot more motivated to do stuff like reading about physics or solving problems in math/programming. Most of the scientific work I've done in my life which is actually worth something was done early in the morning ( = late at night) on my desk with a pencil on the back of some school paper.
Kinda surprising because my mother is the exact opposite, she is always "tired" and cannot think. It also worries me a little bit because constantly staying up so late can damage memory and brain performance (which i noticed on my own, like mornings when I couldn't remember the names of some people in my class lol)

@toast

I heard that. My schedule, concerning sleep, is deeply screwed up this year. I don't have a good explanation. Odd. :|

I've been back and forth with that. Some times I can't get a wink until the sun comes up, and others im out before 10. I always wake up around 11 though. No matter what. Maybe it has something to do with the face that my window faces east(i think) So at eleven the sun shines right through my window and onto my bed, which always wakes me up with out fail.

ain't about how hard you hit... It's about how hard you can get hit, and keep moving forward... how much you can take, and keep moving forward.

I have the most messed up sleeping patterns ever. Because I'm not working atm the times I go to sleep and get up change so wildly and so rapidly it's virtually impossible to tell from one day to the next.
Sometimes I'll go to bed at 7am and sometimes 1pm then stay awake for like 24 hours and go right around, it's stupid.
My record for sleeping is 21 hours.

On that note: They were going to cremate Michael Jackson, but that didn't work out he because he's 99% plastic. So now they're melting him into little Lego pieces so little kids can play with him.

I have that same thing. I didn't really notice until a few weeks ago. I also often have to miss a nights sleep to return to normal sleeping times.

Sleep

After I stopped going to school in November and didn't have to go out anywhere (and didn't, for multiple weeks at a time) I naturally shifted to 6 day weeks (something like 20 awake + 8 hours for sleep). The result is in my profile pic (modified date says Feb) - note the curtains closed, no lights, the pot of tea with more leaves than water.
Then spring came and I started going out during daylight and staying up less. I suppose I was compensating for school the first months when I got the chance because it's less than sleeping.
My productivity is about the same regardless of time of day, maybe mood.

Those are some monster bags under your eyes, nice hair tho :P. I usually go to sleep around 1ish, and wake up around 10, now there's no school. Whatever time i wake or go to sleep up i feel tired in the morning, which doesn't help me get going off the bat.

She kinda was, though she was in Logan's Run, which was certainly a bit bigger in the UK. It's sad she had the misfortune of dying on the same day as the friggin' "king of pop" though. Grieving over. Sorry baby. People are so ADD.

Checked out Transformers 2 to cheer myself up. Wish it did. What a pile of hackneyed, trite, self-indulgent cliché diarrhea. Michael Bay should be hanged. The graphics were pretty good. I just gotta ask one question:

"Why the fuck are there human beings in theis movie? They offer nothing. Well, Megan Fox is a little hottie, but still...robots beating the hell out of each other is really all I need from that franchise. Grrr.

Exactly. Tom set up the site to take the piss out celebrities, pretending to kill them, and filling everything with 'bad-taste' humour. If people don't like it, why are they even here?

The Dirty Sanchez Britney Spears thing was one of the first animations I saw on Newgrounds.
I was like nine when I watched it and I laughed unbelievably hard.

Ugh. Im sick of these jackson jokes already. Har har he was a peado and now hes dead what fun. They stopped being funny after the first... 2. Dont get me wrong in principle I have nothing against them, but they are all just repetitive and the same now.

I did think that punch out parody of tysons daughter was a bit harsh though, but it did make me laugh

I agree with toast on working best in the middle of the night. I get like 90% of my stuff done when it feels like im about to fall asleep. I came up with a theory that its because my brain can only really focus on one thing, because its tired, and therefore it doesnt get distracted. It gets to the point where I dont go to bed because I know in the morning I wont be able to work on whatever it is.
When I eventually get round to a proper job, Im gonna go nightshift for this.

And gust what you said, about not going out for weeks at a time, thats just sad man.
