*Confederations Cup.

Yeah that's the confederations cup, and that was retarded. Brazil 9 points, every other team 3 points and USA going through because of 1 goal? lol.
USA is 2nd in their group for the world cup.
England is top of theirs with like 25 goals and about 5 goals against, but they have Andorra, Kazakhstan and the likes in their group :p
Sup, bitches :)

I think its funny that the USA made it through to the semifinals and Italy didn't. But really, in the end it doesn't matter because Spain is gonna dominate us.

Why not just do the latter?

Being in an altered state of consciousness can be fun. I think everyone should get really wasted at least once. Like maybe when they first go to college/uni.
Also, some folk need alcohol to lower inhibitions.
Personally, I can sing karaoke and dance silly dances without the booze so I've drunk little over the past 4ish years. It's cheaper, doesn't get me into trouble and I like having my wits and health about me.
I think the taste of certain things will seem nicer as you grow older though. Like old men drinking whisky - something few younger folk enjoy. There's some terrible lagers but if you get a good beer - maybe an ale - it's a thing to be appreciated.

I don't think there's a significant difference in the running time, since both of them need to make the comparison in all cases, but it's a more organised style of writing. Less curly brackets generally means you can find what you want more easily. That's also why I like python, no curly brackets, just indentation.
At 6/21/09 05:48 PM, Bezman wrote: Why not just do the latter?
In case you want to conditionally break in the middle of it? Sometimes I'll have 12 continues in one large block, beats the hell out of having to indent 12 times or have a block double indented.

In clearing out my grandpa's house, we found these.
Santa is supposed to have a WHITE beard. I'd love to find the person who'd risk their lives eating these things from like the 70s.

I don't know about everyone else, but practically every week me and all my friends all go to the park and get hammered. It's pretty awesome :D the other day was the first time I went on NG drunk though and i didn't realise how bad my typos were :|
I don't understand teetotallers. Alcohol = a free pass to be temporarily super confident and do pretty much anything without much consequences. It's probably different for older people, but not at the moment for me :D
In nerd news, with my wireworld sim I made a flip flop timer :D works awesomely. Open this, then c+p that into the save game bit, load and play.
In crap news, the other day I got mugged by 2 guys with a gun, and they got my nice mp3 player. Fun times. My phone is so crap they actually gave it back lol.

Pics or GTFO. But seriously, sorry to hear that, i got mugged a while back (knife, not gun), i have no idea what people think they are going to get off a 16 year old. They got my wallet (no cash), and my £25 phone, i just canceled my card and that was it really. Seems to be a lot of muggings round where i live :(.

Nice concept, you could dress it up a little and make a puzzler, where the player has to create the path or wire a certain board to get it to work.

Pythons a nice language to learn, although it's a fair move from flash and not really practical for games on a large scale. Good gateway for moving to more advanced languages though, helped me transition from flash to C#.

I like the added "NO FEWER THAN 9 PIECES," it makes me feel smart that I knew there was nine pieces before reading that.
Oh Tyler...
Cake Mate...
That takes me back in ways I can't explain. Haven't seen that logo in a great long while. :D
It's like smelling a rollercoaster. Pure childhood.

I lold too, for the people who can read but for some reason can't count, that's a beautiful thing :P
Actually, it'd be funny if they were randomly assorted, some bags had 12 pieces, some had 11, some had 15, but none had FEWER THAN 9!!
just got back from camping. fun.
tomorrow is math provincial and the day after that is science provincial. not fun.
then day after that i go camping again. fun.

Once again i'm falling down a mountain like a metaphor

What the fuck is up with YouTube showing adverts before videos now? This is a bloody outrage.

I don't see any adverts. There are pop up ones, but no video ads.

It's happened to me a few times today, doesn't always come up. I've got a French IP at moment, so maybe it's because of that.

I get them when I watch french videos. This is a true discrimination against France.
With any luck they'll invest the money into improving service and paying developers rather than just making gargantuan profitshahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahah a...
They lose money every year on YT at the moment. I can imagine why they'd want to make it more profitable by showing ads in front of popular videos. Can't say I like it though.

How? They pages are covered in ads already and they get so much traffic...
They don't give any numbers concerning the income generated from youtube in their year report. But here are a few links: MSNBC report & International Business Times report. Bandwidth costs for YouTube are huge.
Google pay their 'partners'. How come they are paying users if they aren't even making any money themselves.

Correction: Google owns the internet. Google doesn't have any money problems, for them youtube would be comparable to buying some candy at the grocery store.
My new game Medieval Mercenaries is out now! I know the things that are wrong with this one... we could made a game twice as good with a few more weeks but it was a commission and this was our brief :)
Let me know what you guys think!

Videos are usually 100mb to 1gb in size, especially in HD

Yeah, but 50,000,000 views should be able to generate more than a $1000 profit from advertising. I mean, if all of the ads on the page generate a cost per mille of just US$0.02 they're breaking even.
I think it's dangerous to just use profits from the last year or so - bearing in mind the state of the economy and the vulnerability of income from advertising.
Google shouldn't have bought YouTube in the first place. It's not the same as it was. All this bullshit copyright and shit. It's annoying. The old YouTube was almost ad free, and had some good videos. It feels like Google made it kid-friendly or something. I dont know what im talking about

The "copyright and shit" started BECAUSE of google, not before google bought youtube. All the changes you're talking about were made by google, so it doesn't make sense to say google shouldn't have bought youtube because of those things. The old youtube had much less ads, but that's also why they were losing money and had to sell to google.
Facebook has the same problem and is made worse by 3rd party app suppliers make a ton more money than Facebook ever has. Millions. Until these megasites learn how to monetize properly there's going to be some serious backfunding (Facebook's at nearly 750m in VC funding), or in Google's case... Google.
Hi there!
