Is that the one down the road from the Odeon?
They sold me these weird sour lemon things as a joke to watch my reaction and they were rank, extremely sour. You can also make your own powdered tube things there :D
I bet sweet shops aren't really like that in America.

We don't have "sweet shops" in America, we have "Candy Stores" and they're mostly wastes of time unless it's homemade stuff (chocolate turtles FTW)

Interesting topic guys, well I got another question (which involves time)
How long have you been working w/ computer programs such as flash, flex, ext?

Of and on for 17 years.
When I was 13, I got a Radio Shack TSR-80 from a thrift store, thinking it was a game console. It's basically a Commodore64 knock off... but like the C64, I found out the hard way... I had to program my own games.
I left it alone for quite some time, always interested in it... always dabbling in it, until HTML scripting became the cool thing to do, in about 1996. Been doing it steady in one form or another since then, but on the grand timeline, Actionscript is still new to me. (Only been messing with it since 2004)
HOWS MY FAV NG PEEPS!? :D
It's a good day today. The sun is shinin', but not too bright. The world is plentyful with kindness and good hash. Rock Band 2 is pretty sweet and I can't wait till I unlock Master Exploder and get to sing it and the face melter in the beginin' over and over.
Man.... life is good.
Also, air guys... totally guys... check it... air. It's so nice to breath. Especially when ya like are walking towards a cold breeze and can inhale this huge breath of cold fresh air. Air taste nice and is healthy I think. Ya man... Like totally... man ya... It's good. It's all good.
I'm not even baked. Ya, it's nice. My mom thought I was on acid today, but no. It's just a good day. I wake up and look at the green grass all standin' around like a collective of peace. Do this guys totally do this... just smile - smilings nice. Totally... ya... totally nice.
Alright... now I'm gonna get baked - not cause its cool, but cause I'm a stoner.
Don't do drugs kids.
Also, next month I get my bass guitar - cool shit, I am very much looking forward to this. One day maybe I'll get to jam with a cat from NG...
Ya man... NG Jam Band... I like that... I dig that gig.
Totally... ya...
Totally.
I love you guys.

Well I think I 'officially' started actionscript almost exactly a year ago.
The only reason I made this NG account was for MindFeed.
I had heard of Newgrounds before, and even attempted to make
a couple shitty flashes back in late 2005...so I guess you could
say i started around then. But it was almost one year ago that
I got the silly idea for a decent quiz game.
A quiz where you didn't get pissed because
you had to start over, a quiz that you could actually finish
and instead of loosing, you just got a low score.
I would have most likely left NG and Flash at some point after the release,
but I won a monthly award...and because I'm just a kid
$250 is a lot of money, especially when I made MindFeed
thinking I wouldn't make one cent.
It's a fun hobby, too. :3
Glad i stuck around, but maybe it wasn't really a choice.
Luis said somewhere that NG is like herpes.
It may go away at some points,
but live knowing it's going to come back.
Story of my life right there. Lol.
what

Now why don't I believe that?
Do any of you guys have Twitter?
I got one recently. I'm not sure if I'll really get into it, but a lot of great people have them. Diplo's recount of the Grammy's was probably one of the most hilarious things I've ever read. It's pretty NEAT.
My twitter account is jmtb02. I utter only nonsense and streaming consciousness. Which I think is about all that can be accomplished on Twitter, now that I think about it....
Hi there!
Would anyone be willing to code a game for me?
i have most of the gfx done already and am offering a 50/50 split of sponsorship
the idea of the game is that you're a character running around avoiding getting squished by falling tetris pieces. you try to see how high you can climb/long you can survive.
anybody interested?
Since we already see the world in three dimensions, I started wearing 3-D glasses around so that I could see things in 6-D... The sixth dimension is blurry and discolored.
Programming "Challenges"
So yesterday in an art class of mine, we 'studied' perspective (one and two point perspective). So I came up with the idea to "simulate" this in a simple Flash program.
This is the result (move around with mouse).
Thanks to "y = mx + b" and some very simple math, I was able to "simulate" one point perspective and make a box. First the box is drawn (the front face), notice how it is always the same size. Then 4 lines are extended from each corner to the focal point (on the horizon line). Then depth is added. The depth number is represented by the red line (in this example it's 25 units). The red line will always be 25 units, and from it all other sides are derived. Which is why the box can magical change size, since it's all really more of an optical illusion.
Fun little programming exercise (:
If anyone cares, I can post the class (in AS3) here. I'm sure it can be improved.. alot.
What the fuck is Twitter. Is it like Myspace or some shit?

It's not like Facebook, it's basically a mini-blog. The term people use is "microblogging", it allows people to send short messages about what they are doing at the moment (like Facebooks status updates, but I think Twitter is older than the status updates). I don't use it but it's quite popular - a lot of celebrities use it to keep their fans up to date with what they're doing every few hours =p Soulja Boy twittered that he got robbed, for example :] But yeah, a lot of celebrities use it - here's a list I've lifted from The Guardian:

What a waste of everyone's time that was. Don't give up your day job.
Sup, bitches :)
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!
I messed up :(
I got bored of normal minesweeper, so i remade the game in C++ with exact same playing functionality, using the exact same graphics; only as you can tell, a much larger play area than you can ever get in normal minesweeper:
Yesterday morning i ripped the graphics
This morning i did the programming whilst watching tv on computer on one screen with girlfriend in my lap after our day-early valentines yesterday :)

Goddam you have it all don't you. Babes, knowledge, sporting ability, and now minesweepers. I envy you to almost the point of hate.

Can you please send that game to me? It looks awesome.

same controls as normal minesweeper, no menu for changing size because i don't care.

HOW DID YOU KNOW?
Also, I'm loving "Minesweeper's Big Brother". Lmao.
what
I submitted a flash and it's received good reviews (despite it being 2 hours work, hhhh) and has a review score of 8.7/10 (or something) and yet the score is 3.11 - also there are ~200 votes and ~250 views yet on the Newgrounds Flash API page it shows that there have only been 150 views (20 or so will have been me before I submitted) so that means there were about 100 people voting before viewing the Flash, assumingly blamming it. I don't care that it has a low score (actually I don't mind anything 3+ especially for something which was so little effort) but it is annoying that people vote without viewing - they're probably trying to get B/P points, in which case it'd be much easier to actually watch the flash then vote 5 or 0 depending on what you think o_O
Also: How the hell as Super Mafia Brothers not have over 4.00 score, it's awesome.
Cocks>.?
