I'm quite tired of spam. So here's a topic.

Injuries and Accidents

Inspired by bomtoon's bike accident, what is the worst injury you've ever had, or the worst accident which resulted in injury? Unfortunately for my topic, but not for me, I'm a safe person, so I've never even broken a bone. The worst thing that happened to me is I split my head open a little bit on a playground a long time ago, before they were all converted to plastic... just a few stitches though =[

Actually a semi-interesting thing that pertains to this, one of my friends recently rolled her car over multiple times O_O which I thought only happened in movies. Apparently her tire blew out and she went across a median and across the other lane of traffic then flipped over into a ditch. Amazingly enough she didn't even get hurt besides bruises and scrapes. The car is trashed though...

Injuries

Ever since i was a kid I've been a super extremely safe person,
because when i was little my parents had a waterbed.
I decided to jump on it and stuff because, you know, kids always
like to jump on beds, and a water bed is like ten times the fun.
I accidentally slipped and fell backwards onto the windowsill
and got a concussion.

But my particular favorite was when i fell off the park slide
and broke my arm. My mom said it was because the sides
of the slide weren't tall enough, so she called the city and
threatened to sue them.
There's no more slide in my park now, all because K-Guare broke his arm. :]

Hey look, four unique fab posts in a row. That's just FABULOUS!

Since we already see the world in three dimensions, I started wearing 3-D glasses around so that I could see things in 6-D... The sixth dimension is blurry and discolored.

Injuries

Well, when I was about 8 my friends dared me to ride down a hill on my bicycle backwards. Of course, I accepted. So I was going about 15 mph down a massive hill when suddenly my bike veered to the right and off the road. The front tire rammed directly into a tree slamming me into it as well. I woke up in the hospital with a minor concussion and I was close to being paralyzed (barely wasn't) 3 days later. It was a really shitty day.

Hey yo

Youtube

That site is trash anyway. Just a bunch of ornery teenagers making video blogs and crap. There are some funny things in there, but for the most part it sucks that google owns it because I can't completely hate it :-\

fanboy...

Youtube

I have to agree that youtube is pretty trashy, when miley cyrus talking is one of the top rated and viewed videos, somethings not right. The craziest thing about youtube though has to be the comments, idk if anyone else reads them, but I scroll down while I'm watching a video. Youtube commenters say the craziest shit and it always baffles me how people try to espouse their world views in 400 characters or less AND carry on arguments with other commenters... so ridiculous...

That's missing the point. Look at the second movie in the list. I want to know how it recommends that when I never searched for him on youtube.

Seems too strange to just be a coincidence.

Either it's coincidence or it's because Google goes through your e-mail and Google queries to be able to offer you personalized advertisements (and maybe videos as well nowadays?). I'm not quite sure, personalized advertisements and web-services based on data trail you leave behind on the interwubs is the next big thing though.

Apparently actionscript 2.0 doesn't support overloaded constructors. I'm gonna have to use a mass setter function to initialize the player from a shared object... :-\

Player(mass:Number = 1);

Can you not just serialise your player class and save it directly to the SO?

The constructor is doin that for me already, but I wanted to pass some values when reinitializing the game. Like loading a save after you die or continuing from a save point at a later time.

Creature type thing?
Couldn't really think of anything else to title it. Anyone ever have those tomagotchi that were actually fighters and you plug them together and they fight each other? I was thinking maybe we can have something like that. We could even serialize our "creatures" and be able to store information like strength, hp, mp, abilities, and move lists could be standardized and depending on our "creatures" AI it'll grow after each fight and add new moves to it's reportoire and strategize it's own fight.

And maybe a replay system could be serialized too so the battles can be played back?? IDK, sounds like something cool we could implement, and for everyone else on NG they can just play the game and try to pit their creatures against ours or something like that. Just a random thought.
