I have a tiny question for you guys. I'm making my first (decent) game and I needed your opinions on one of the animations. When my character (he's on a snowboard) falls, should he fall forward so the entire front of his body hits the ground, or sideways where he would sorta barrel roll down the mountain. This is the one thing I can't figure out.

Kinda depends on how he trips. If the front of the board hit a rock or something, he would kind of fall almost cartwheel style, I think.

Well the entire point of the game is to continue grinding on a rail until you hit the bottom. So in other words when you tumble off a rail there are pretty much two different ways you can go, barrel roll or faceplant. But then of course there are variations on those but you get the gist. Unless you ride rails backwards... I might just do both and have the two randomly switch. I have until christmas, so no problem. Thanks though!

Is that some kind of Facebook bug or have you edited the source code? I was on it a few hours ago and it was indicating that it was today. I've also been on the Newgrounds page, and that showed the correct time for messages too.

I feel like I'm the only one who was slightly disappointed by LBP... Don't get me wrong, the single player is fun, co-op is even better (when the person you're playing with doesn't suck as much as Kirk <3). But the whole level building aspect is somewhat disappointing I think. It takes ages and ages to build a good-looking, fun and challenging level, which is why there are only very few of those... The recommended worlds are either levels made for stat whores (the get 8 awards levels) or pieces of shit made by eleven years olds (I played the game until about three weeks after the launch, so it might have improved somewhat now). And those rare couple of gems only last for a few minutes. The first couple of weeks after the launch there also were some pretty bad lag issues, which is no surprise coming Sony, but it felt just really sloppy. Anyway, all those issues took the fun out of the game for me and I haven't touched it in weeks.

I'll probably get that 'I wanna build something' vibe again some day and play it again. Hopefully by that time there will be some stuff on there that's actually worthwhile.

I think that instead of making everything simpler, this made it harder. The only feature I liked was the alphabetical list of all the stuff on your computer.

I think there's something wrong with your code. I would try declaring your variables before running them past the equality operator. That might fix your code. Have you looked at AS Main yet? That'll be a good resource for problems like this if they happen again.

It is epic, it's beautiful, fun and overall a fantastic game. One flaw with the game: It's FUCKING IMPOSSIBLY HARD. I'm playing on medium and it's ridiculous, fucking Chimera everywhere =[ It's bloody annoying walking through a dark house and these pods keep exploding and huge creatures start lunging at you too, especially since you just ran out of ammo killing some hybrids. The chameleons are ridiculous too - they're invisible and only appear as they pounce at you (they 1 hit you too), so you need to be quick with the shotgun.

Despite it being FUCKING HARD, it's very fun. It's very forgiving too, checkpoints everywhere so you never have to relive anything too much. The online is good too, R1 was great online even though the actual gunplay wasn't my cup of tea - the levelling system and everything is gooddd.

I dunno, it kinda is but the excellent bosses kinda split it up. The co-op has completely different stories (and is even harder unless you play online with 8 people).
