What we did for new years
Partied with almost all my friends, smoked a bunch of weed and oil, had only 2 beer and 1 shot, and munch a lil' bit of shrooms with two friends I've known for over 2 years. It was great I had a lot of funny conversations and saw some cool shit. When everyone did the 10 sec countdown it felt like I was trapped in some epic college themed movie.

14 year olds smokin' weed
A few people I know started smokin' iy at 11 or 12. So 14 ain't so bad. I personally would've loved it if I started smokin' it earlier. However I'm a supporter of the 16 year age limit as if it was legalized thats what the age limit for buyin' marijuana in stores or whatever would be.
As for what is bad for you... Cigs are proven to cause cancer, beer is proven to shrink your brain, and pot is proven to help help fight off cancer.
Yes their are the kinds of people who are idiots and smoke weed only to "be cool" or get themselfves some sort of social label in their school. I've met guys who only smoke weed to piss off their parents and they don't care or appriaciate the large amount of positives it brings.
Anyway I felt like giving my opinion on that. :P

Sleep
I woke up at 2:00 pm-ish today. :P I need to figure out a better sleep patturn or whatever since Uni classes start in less then 4 days for me and one of them is at 1 pm, another at 10 am the next day, and the third around 8 am. :C

Flash work enviroment
Its cool to work on flash for hours alone in your room or maybe sayin' hi once and a while to peeps over MSN or email or what have you. However a few times I've animated for a couple hours with 3 or so friends chillin' in the room with me on PS3 or just being stoners. Anyway I've noticed that their are two very different enviroment. Alone you tend to get really into the flash and get a decent amount of work done - your in your own lil' world. With people its cool though cause you get their opinions on your work as your workin' on somethin' and I find myself more motivated to work longer and get more work done when I have a buddy buggin' me to finish the flash.
Either way - though havin' friends around makes it more entertaining - it doesn't beat how relaxing it is to just listen to some peaceful music on a low volume and animate for hours into the night. ^^

Pot is a drug but its very different from the other ones. Remember that pot helps some kids and may make school or somethin' they're goin' through easier. However it does make you apathitic and kind of lazy sometimes if you smoke a lot every day so you really have to find a happy place in which you only smoke X amount 'til your good.
Even if pot was legalized, poeple would probably be buyin' packs for people younger then themselfves just like some poeple buy smokes or give their kids smokes.

I'd say 16, I think 16 is a pretty reasonable age for stuff like drinking, doing (soft) drugs, getting laid and what have you. The legal age in Holland for drinking is 16 (it's 18 for liquor), as it is in most European countries. There's been a lot of political debate as of late though, some people think the age limit should be raised to 18. Anyway, I started drinking at 15/16, and I can't say it has hampered my development, but other kids are more vulnerable to stuff like drugs and alcohol, so I can see where the complaints are coming from.

You said it yourself most not all situations. I think doing drugs is one of those situations you have to be a bit more careful about and therefore shouldn't be allowed for kids that young. Then again, what the hell do I know about drugs. In a perfect world age limits would be judged individually. Some people could start drinking at 14, some should never be allowed to.

I don't think you guys realize that I'm not a stoner. I sometimes smoke on the weekends for fun but thats it. As much as TheCriminalDuder backed me up, I disagree with him on the statement that it "helps you go through hard times," Well, I guess thats true, but thats not why I use it. I don't use it to get away from life or problems, I use it for fun.

As for the health aspect, Marijuana is probably the safest thing to smoke (well for drugs and stuff I mean), it doesn't really negatively affect you in any way. Except short-term effects. Some studies say it causes lung cancer, but thats not from the marijuana thats from inhaling particles of any burning object. Smoking paper, tea, other herbs, or any other stuff that is sometimes smoked could cause cancer.

As for me being 14 and doing it, yeah thats pretty young, I admit. But if 14 is old enough to drive a car (which it is here in South Dakota) then shouldn't it be old enough to make your own decisions? Its not like I'm messing up my life because I sometimes smoke weed on the weekends. Being 14 years old, I can tell whats wrong and right. I know what I can handle, when to stop, and what not to do. I'm not going to get into hard drugs because I started smoking weed. In fact, I'm not going to get into hard drugs at all. I'm smarter than that. Everyone thinks that 14 year olds don't know what their limits are and what to do and not do. Seriously guys, we're smarter than that. Not to mention, most people lose their virginity in 8th grade or freshmen year (some people are 14 in freshmen).

Weed is physically unaddicting and anyone who tells you otherwise is lying. I know that in school your D.A.R.E teachers taught you that Marijuana is more harmful and causes more deaths than cigarettes or alcohol, but thats more lying. Some studies say marijuana causes 0 deaths a year. The marijuana itself doesn't kill.

In reality weed is good for you, it kills off cancer cells. It is technically a cure for cancer, yet it is so looked down upon by society. We have been searching for ways to cure cancer, and here it is, yet it has been deemed an illegal drug so we don't approve it as medicine. Once again, I don't use it for that reason, but the fact still remains that it kills cancer cells.

So we approve something that causes cancer (cigarettes) but not something that kills cancer cells? Whats up with that?

Now, this isn't the politics forum, so I think we should get away from the topic of age limits for weed, whats acceptable, etc. and start talking about something different. I didn't mean to start a topic here and I don't think this is where it belongs. If you want to debate on weed legalization and such, go find a topic in politics.

Weed is not a cure for cancer, radioactivity can kill cancer cells but not 'cure' it. Its main negative effects are psychological, schizophrenia being one such example. Fair enough though, shall let subject drop.

Yeah, you can get your learners (have to drive with parent) when your 14 years old and you have to wait 6 months to get your restricted license (like a normal license but with time restrictions).

South Dakota is pretty small and there aren't too many driving hazards. Plus the fact that a lot of the people here are farmers (although I'm not) and the kids on the farms need to drive tractors and stuff at a younger age, although I'm pretty sure they drive before they get their license anyway.

Special treats
I don't eat enough special treats. Most I buy for somethin' extra tasty is a caramilk bar. I got friends who buy chocolate ice cream cakes just for themselfves though. lol
I love these chocolate oatmeal cookies my mother use to make. They were the best - especially when they're just done and still warm. :3
