I just installed Fable a few days ago because one of my room mates had it and was saying how pwnsome it was. I'm enjoying it, I haven't played a good RPG for a while, but Bioshock is out today for the PS3! Theres also Golden Axe, which I doubt I'll get but I remember playing it on the SNES or Sega or something and it was cool.. and Saints Row 2, I doubt I'll get that but maybe when it's cheaper discount price.

Also finally php is working on my host, now just waiting for the owner of the domain to point it where I want it :P I sent a query to the help service about why php wasn't working and they said it was because the domain name I had was pointing to different nameservers (the site of the guy who owns it) instead of the ones for my site. I assume they thought I was trying to get php to work via www.liammacdonald.co.uk/whatever.php, well I'm not that dumb, I was going through the default subdomain.. However, since I got that reply, the php is working, so I think .. haxx XD

NG-UNIT's Name

Well. Im picky with names. i hate a lot of them that have numbers and don't make sense on the first time reading or whatever. I like it simple.

Patu1 - hate it
mwmike- hate it
alpharius or whatever would be cool if it didn't have the 120

Nothing against you guys, i just don't like usernames like that =P. Unless your Jmtb02. ;)

On all of Newgrounds i think that AlphaCentauri is the coolest name of them all.

Games I'm waiting for...
I'm currently mainly waiting for Rock Band 2. My Rock Band disc hasn't worked since the London Meet (I don't blame anyone, don't worry about it - the day I can't afford a replacement copy of a game will be a day I'll also be concerned more about something other than video games...), and hopefully it'll be intact enough to transfer the songs over. It will mean I have to upgrade to a bigger hard drive though.

I'm also thinking of getting Fable II and Fallout III. This is assuming the first set of red-rings I've seen on my 360 don't pop up again - I had a DVD connection error a few days ago which cleared up

Job Interviews
I clandestinely went to a few this week, and I suck at them (My mind stopped mid Flash-exam when I was asked to output the letters A-Z on repeated clicking of a button... recovered quickly enough though) . Still waiting from the multinational agency I applied to and seemed to make a good impression on...

Anyone else in London who knows of openings for a midweight actionscript developer, let me know. I want out and I want out now.

Usernames of Doom
My username ends up confusing a lot of people. That of course is thier own perception of what dykes are. Personally, I think of big earthern barricades designed to keep floodwater out of cities, and like the idea of hitting them with hammers.

There's a sliding scale in the back of my mind for first impressions on the net. The chances of making a good impression on me are guaged by the following
- Attempting to look like an expert by dint of having AS, Flash, Newgrounds, Master, Programmer or anything similar in your name will mainly earn my instant doubt in thier abilities and motivation. I wonder just how full of themselves a user has to be to try and stand out as an expert by dint of Username alone - doubly so when they change thier name to it
- Numbers, All Caps, spelling mistakes and the like instantly lower the chance you'll make a good impression on me.
- Cultural References or names based on toons from the Portal mean I'll never, ever, take someone seriously.
- Using the words Studios or Games in your name will set off a red flag in my mind. The one that says "come back in half an hour to shut that thread down after the flamewar concerning thier 'I want to hire some guys for no pay' thread gets out of hand"

And yes, unfortunately names like NG-Unit and patu1 stick out like sore thumbs when I look at posts they make. Admitedly, so do ones like liaaaam and Kirk Cocaine, but then again, I barely take the regs seriously anyway. Especially ones that seem to exist purely to get me drunk on Snakebite.

Way to ruin my day =( Although is just another clear example that people who take religion seriously are insane. Who gets offended over quotations from a work of fiction?

What? Did you read the article?

Worldwide shipments are going to be delayed upwards of 3 weeks due to references of the Qur'an, not because of bugs.

LBP Release Delay

I don't get why they can't use a track with phrases that can be found in the Quran... can video games not reference religions? And it's not even a reference, it's just a sound track...

Also seriously people that article is probably half a page in a word document, and you couldn't read it before responding to it jmtb02's lament? =_=

I was invited to one of the high schools in my community to talk to students about drugs - mainly marijuana. My friend talked to a teacher and arranged me. I got the call just a bit after waking up this mornin'.
I got a reply in the paper too - DING!

I always have considered myself a stoner - time to change my look to Marijuana Activist now I suppose. :3

The game I want most is Fable 2. The online co-op just sounds awesome. I'm also looking forward to Fallout 3 and Call of Duty: World at War.

I'm not too hyped for those, maybe fallout. It's left4dead, far cry 2, gta4 pc that i want :). GTA4 with planes, parachutes etc will be brilliant.

LittleBigQua'ranit

What a stupid reason for delaying. So people aren't allowed to use the same vocabulary as the qua'ran now? So i cant say "god is with those who preserve" in a completely different context with absolutely no reference to religion, and it would be penalized?

There will inevitably be a point where mods will allow you to fly around in a jet... yeah...

Tbh, I wouldn't care. I'm glad I have the xbox version for the nice gamepad driving :3

gah i got pretty average grades for my SAT practice test :/ I don't know how old you're meant to be to take it but im kinda unhappy with my scores on the maths section. Something must be wrong here, cause by doing only 1 section of the Critical reading, I got 46 points, and the average score for a student is 48 points (with section 1 + section 2, which both bring about the same number of points). However, I did both math sections and only got 4 more points than the average test taker. shit.

The nights are the fun part, not the days, lol.

Only missed C++ (lecture and seminar; now I'll never learn for loops >_<) and Professional Studies lecture.

LittleBigPlanet delay = Unhappy face. Stupid religion indeed, if it were quotes from the Bible noone would give a fuck!
