Yeah, i agree with that. You can't make something that would fit perfectly for everyone though :S. Thinking about it, if mctoast did move over here would he be able to get a government funded education? Being foreign and all, can you take a test for citizenship when you're under 18?

Ah well that makes sense, plus Newgrounds started with Tom showing off his flash movies (after the web comics and whack a seal games of course XD), so maybe they just never really thought "hey lets put Games first" and are otherwise too lazy to change it?

OH HEY BTW TODAY was nerd convention land day, so because i'm able to replicate the Joker voice quite well, i may have dressed up as him :P

I actually DID have (im not sure if you can see it) Fake scars, see im not a noob who is like "imma paint my face and i'll be done" Nay nay, i had just the right ammount of green in my hair, it was parted better before too, and my purple coat was off cuz i was hot and needed a shower... Either way.. it was pretty fun, ppl were staring on the street it was hilarious, and that was just practice for Halloween.

Think about the awesomeness of leaving together with someone from the flash forum. Especially if it's a programmer - animator combo, then it just takes game developping to a whole new level. The bad side of it, though, is that you can't avoid your partner on msn when you don't feel like working on his game haha.

"my code's compiling" for u xkcd readers ;)

Well at one point i was at set of lights and there was a guy parked in a car who just got stopped at a red light. So he looks at me and starts laughing, he looks away for a moment. When he looks back i'm holding a Joker card (like a normal playing card) and he just bursts out laughing. I found it funny :P

SUMMARY OF THAT TEXT: I have a card instead of a knife. It works fine :P

Problems

Well, I didn't want to make an entirely new topic about this, sooooo.
Whenever I export my game, and try to put it on SpamTheWeb it always tells me that the URL that my game is at, you know, the extension of SpamTheWeb doesn't exist, so I can't show it to my friend who wants to see it. It's only 24 kb and I'm sorta pissed. Does anyone know how to remedy my situation?

Okay. The Gun Wharves are in North London, Wapping.
Assuming that you're taking the picture from inside the building you're staying in, that's south of the river north of Canada Water...

University of Teesside, in Middlesbrough, which is in the north. It's about an hour and a half away from Leeds, where I come from.. which is just a lil further south. You should definitely try come to the London meet. I don't know if you'll be able to realistically afford it or be able to because of school or whatever, but it'd be awesome :P

My alma mater. As I have told liaaam, it's not a very nice place either from an academic standpoint (as he's already said, the lectures aren't exactly comprehensive) nor from a living in Middlesbrough standpoint.

However, it DOES host an international animation and video games conference around inter-semester break. I suggest people go to that if they can, because it's normally interesting and showcases some nice animation and lectures.

Next year they're getting Ian Livingstone (who's incorrectly stated as having created D&D on the site) and Ernest Adams, again.

I think space trains would be more awesome.

Am I the only one not at all interested in visiting space? I understand how research is important and everything and I am totally behind that, but I personally don't have any interest leaving earth. I have plenty to explore around our own planet before even dreaming about going into space.

I'd like to see more research done up there, but I'm more interested in the eventual colonisation, industrialisation and exploration of the big black void and the occasional specks of rock up there than the "look at us, we're upside down, isn't this exciting!" thing that seems to be popular at the moment and the "we can park a rover on Mars and occasionally have it land the right way up" school of thought that seems to have killed off the idea of actual people going up there.

Soon as someone works out how to synthetically bulk manufacture oxygen out of Mars' 95% CO2 atmosphere we'll be set...

Reduce it to separate the carbon and oxygen then dump all the carbon on earth? :P Sounds like a plan. Leave some so we're not breathing pure oxygen and insert all those lovely phosphates and nitrates into the gorund. Sorted!

OP: Sorry can't remember who it was. It's £10 for a highish wage, £20 and then £30 up here at least. :D
