Conversation over. Choose a new topic that's not about tax. It's not like any of you remember to fill out your income tax forms from your sponsorship or NG Ads anyway.

I've got nothing against discussing it, but this isn't the place. All it's doing is creating arguments in which no one can win.
no. im fucking tired of people telling me/us what to talk about in this thread. The politics forum is where all the politics dude hang out, the flash reg lounge is our own little space where we can talk about whatever we want. I find it more interesting to debate politics with someone I "know" like paranoia rather than with liberalduck3124.

youre only partly right about that. YES you can talk about whatever you want. But as a flash reg lounge its important that we just graze these deep topics. Ok we've all stated opinions and at times created new points to slug at each other in this whole social class debate..now we are moving on. As moderators we are MODERATING the flow of the room to zoom back out to a less intense topic.

If you are not ready to move on.. or want to go into more in depth with other people who were part of the 3-4 page discussion well click on the PM link and persue it on your own time offfline. THE END.

lets just agree to disagree and move on to breast milk. lmao.

umm.. philosophers are writer. usually when you call yourself a philosopher it means you've published a book or you're in the process of doing it.

Fair enough, but i'm just saying that it's creating a lot of conflict. We don't want a flame war, think of the children :O.

I did actually present data, but they both decided to overlook that. This argument is getting old for me though, simply because I don't have the patience to constantly restate the truth.

Depends on the argument, you can't win an argument saying that there is no god because neither side has any conclusive evidence (i don't believe btw). But if you've just quoting statistics then you can't really be wrong, unless their biast in some way. If someone believes something, nothing you can say should really disposition them.

It seems like in arguments like the one we're in the only barrier is the oppositions will to not admit defeat or to not understand the other side. But of course I would think my side is obviously right since it's my side... I feel like the stats speak for themselves, but of course someone can claim they don't.

ANYWAY I'm done, and this post was about arguments, not continuing the argument, so donut delete plz.

I have a topic:

Fears that keeps you up at night

Fears that are quite unlikely and ridiculous, but at the same time, spine tingling. They keep you up at night.

One of my fears is having someone put there hands under your rib cage and then tear your ribs out, it makes me shiver every time.

And another one, having your nipples taken off with a cheese grater.

Or how about a scissor end going into the end of your penis, and then someone hammering it.

My eyes are watering.

Will: Ouch! I don't like the idea of someone putting their hand in my mouth grabbing the top of my jaw the ripping the top of my head off. Also just being bitten in genral.

Pages: I just browsed through 4 pages of debates about something I don't care about to find something interesting >:(

Luis: Nice collab idea. I personally for fun make basic engines then play on them repeatedly. Other than that I draw backwards 4's with the brush tool.

This is kinda following on from politics, but it got into education a bit.. not to beat a dead horse but my 2 cents on this subject are that yes all British students have the opportunity to go to any university they would like in the UK, as there is a limit on the fees (just over £3000 is payable, it's actually subsidised by the government) and student loans are available as someone said for anyone which includes the course fees and living costs (about £4000 for rent + living), some of which is a grant depending on your upbringing so poorer families actually get a better deal. That's one of the things I'm proud of about this country, the University system is actually pretty good.. although that may only be coming to light as I just started university, before this it was outside my scope and I only had small opinions on the matter.. mainly "wtf I'm gonna be in £15000 debt? >: (", but it's good. Anyway, yes this opportunity is there but it is not viable for everyone. For example a person who has to help out a lot at home for whatever reason (illness or loss of parent, etc), they will have a short term commitment to their home while they are in their late teens-early 20s, and later in life they may suffer from this. Also in poorer families the teens at college age do not really want to further their education because most high schools are SHITE (colleges are also shite.) so it gives them a bad view on education and they're eager to try and make some money as soon as possible; this is the case for a lot of people I went to high school with (mainly the chavs). However, neither of my parents went to university - and as such neither of them do specialised jobs, my mum drifts around jobs such as healthcare (NHS), housing (for local government) and now for a local bank, in the office.. nothing special, and quite low pay, but enough to live on considering my dad earns about £30000 a year as a lorry driver, again not a specialised career but one he has built upon for about 20 years of driving jobs (taxi, bus, etc). My family is definitely not poor, we have a nice big house, dining room, living room, kitchen, laundry room thing, garage.. not a huge house, but a good one. All built from my parents will to succeed in what they did.

That was quuiiteee ranty. I'll talk about other random things.

Breat Milk - there was a documentary on this subject, on TV, not long ago. To be honest the idea disgusts me (not in a literal sense, but it is disgusting). What are they trying to do, create human milk farms? Seriously fucked up.

XKCD - I lol'd at this because it's pretty true :/ I also love XKCD to bits.

Only 12ish hours til unbansticking, hurrah!

I've been using my downtime (and the fact I've had a lot of free time from uni) to mess with C++, which I'm learning at uni.. although I know all the stuff we've been 'taught' by the most boring lecturer ever, I'm just gonna have to finally try learn openGL and directX while everyone else is learning what the hell structs are. The lecturer is ridiculous though, he spent an hour rambling in technical jargon to a group of people who knew nothing about C++.. even I was confused, when he was talking about "preprocess linking" and stuff.. plus he tried to insist there was something deep about the "::" usage, which is basically just used to access things through a namespace (i.e., std::cout) .. what is deep about that? This is a guy who insists javascript is not only a programming language but the most overlooked one.. hmm. Retard.

Sorry for doing this but: http://www.newgrounds.com/portal/view/46 2941! OMG I SUBMITTED SOMETIN LOL :p

I just wanted to see how much better AS3 + FP9 would be compared to AS2 + FP8 (that I used with the other ELEKTRIC DRAWINGZ 'games'), and then I thought.. why not add controls and pretend it's a full game! I seem to have ranted at bit on the description but whats wrong with that, eh, eh, eh?

Btw, how long does it take for the NG ads to get Ok'd or No'd?

Also, I think there might be a bug.. when I first opened it in the browser it wouldn't draw.. I had to change the settings (colour) then it worked, heh.. oh well, I think it was just me. Yes. Easy explanation. Also, 80fps running at 60-70 in browser, awesome :p

Any of you regulars lounging around feeling like coming over to my userpage for a BIG MORPHING ORGASM?I'm hoping to get together as many users as I can to make an insane morphing animation loop to submit to the portal. If you're a good animator it wouldn't take much of your time, and you'd be giving back to the community. Think of it as community service for all the crimes you guys have commited against humanity on these crazy servers.

Yes, it does. I found setting it to about 30 gives the most consistant results, but then the line is much less smooth and because of that, there's loads more information in the lines and the file size goes up.

I think I just submitted the first Megaman 9 remix to the audio portal

It's not really a remix per say... I plan to remix it, but I had to transcribe it first since there aren't any MIDIs of the song out there yet. That was fun.
