I just had a car crash :(
I was 50 metres up my road, behind a van. The van turns into a lane on the left, woman pulls out with her alfa romeo convertible without looking, i try to swerve, she didnt even attempt to break, she hits my left bumper and dents my car. Not much damage, her alfa romeo has parts all in the road.
She comes up to my car saying "I'm so sorry! SO SORRY!". I just look at her and go, "k".

Sorry, haven't read any of your replies since my last post, but I feel a need to rant.

I'll paint you a little picture. A scenario, of what's happened.

I got my fucking kickass computer tonight. I love it.
500 GB Hard Drive.
2046 MB of RAM.
AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 6000+
3.00 GHz.
NVIDIA GeForce 8600 GT NX86.
5 Silent fans.
Absolutely kickass Microsoft Wireless Desktop Elite keyboard + mouse.
22 inch. Acer screen.
Oh and it glows fucking blue. How awesome is that.

Anyway, my friend set it all up, gave me about 250 gb worth of games and music and stuff.
C&C Tiberian Wars, Assassins Creed, AOE 3, Half Life 2, Portal, CSS, Cod4... you name it.
So, he left, and I started up Assassins Creed.

And then I see it.
The glowing dot of doom.
A dead pixel.
On my fucking awesome screen.
Glowing bright pink, on a contrast of black.
Mocking me.

And all of a sudden, my night is ruined.
The warranty on the screen died out 6 months ago.
My beautiful huge screen, my perfect computer.
All ruined, because of ONE. FUCKING. PIXEL.

How can this happen though? one little tiny minuscule dot has ruined my awesome night. Every time I look at my screen, my eyes somehow find that pixel through the sea of colours, and it breaks my heart.

Is something wrong with me? How can one pixel do this?
I know this is a bit dramatic, but its the first time I've had a computer that doesn't take half an hour to start up.
I feel like an idiot, and like I'm being a whining bitch, because its just one pixel.

Well, there was a black screen for a few seconds, and then I saw it, it was so bloody hard to miss.
Bright pink, against black.
Now I can't stop looking at it.

Damn, beat me to it.
I've had a work in progress that I've been working on for a while called "How to market you flash!"
It talks about how most people blam you potentially awesome flash, if you don't have an icon, and have a shit name, and sometimes, short badly written comments.
It shows you how to make icons, create a good icon, and market your flash properly.
Making menus, preloaders etc.

But yeah, I totally know what you mean.
Take my Stikskits flash for example.
I haven't uploaded it yet, but when I do, it'll be called 'The eternal battle' or something, and have a bright, colourful and good quality icon.
I'll write out a well though, good grammar block of comments.
It has a pretty decent preloader, good menu, and some easter eggs.
THe animation has a background, and it has plenty of awesome NG audio.

But heres the catch.

Its my first ever stick animation, and the animation sucks. No VCam, no special effects, and no shaky cam.
The animation is nowhere near as good as most of the stick flashes on NG, but unfortunately, most of them get blammed, because of a bad name, and lack of icon.

Most times, if something has a shit name, no icon, and stupid comments, I blam it.
First impressions guys. I'd never create a NG flash without an icon.

Dead Pixels
I had a couple of dead pixels on my PSP, it completely ruined it for me the first couple of days, after that I didn't notice them anymore.

I just remembered Heroes is starting again tonight. Yay!

i have one dead red pixel on my laptop most of the time its soo small that i dont see it but it can be annoying for first time users or if i do see it at times!

I had a fucking bug crawling around the inside of my screen somehow, dunno how. I murdered it with bug spray.

Sorry for ranting too much, but I've finished another rant. This one, again, about a mistake wasting time.

Here it is:

Ok, yet another rant from me....another one...the second one today.

I was editing newgrounds wikipedia page. I had spent almost an hour and a half on it. I had added more detail to most sentences and paragraphs, added a lot of links, checked over for correct spelling and grammar, I had written out two and a half paragraphs, one containing details about the sponsorship. Another about the flash ad API. As I said, I had spent an extremely long time typing it out.

Then, my mum had some work to copy. So, she plugged in the scanner. In spite of me saying not to, unplugged one of the plugs. Out of all the plugs, she picked out the main plug, which turned the computer off. In all the rooms in the house, in all the plugs in the room, in all the plugs in the adapter... the one that controlled the computer. Just at the other side of the room was an empty plug. Instead the plug which sent the power to the computer.

But there was still hope, firefox has a function that restores all text in whatever textareas and textfields are restored. Unfortunately, in the restored session wikipedia crashed and I had to reload the page to get back to the page. Which, was recorded as a different time that page had been viewed.

All the work had been lost.

What pissed me off further was that just just yesterday a similar event had happened. Another review rant. I was writing a review and the same thing happened. The same fucking plug. After that you would've thought that she wouldn't unplug the same plug.

About half an hour later. I came back. I didn't want to edit the article again...I didn't feel like doing much. A while later I came back and posted this.

Dead Pixel

It shouldn't matter too bad. I've never had a dead pixel before though, so I can't really say much.

Well it was really only an hour and a half of work, which is a good amount, but it's not devestating... and the second time around you should be able to type the changes much faster, probably in under an hour. Also, don't let your mom unplug the computer next time, maybe now you'll be on your toes and not make the mistake of letting parents touch technology.

Learn to ctrl S. You really should be writing stuff into notepad and saving them every 5mins when ur spending 1hr30 on something

It was a webpage so the only way I could control+S was if I pasted into notepad, which I only really use for html.

And the point of the rant wasn't that my mum was stupid.
