i have nearly done bronze, i havnt done the skill yet, its the heavy backpacks that get me, if you done want bad feet get better shoes and dont do them really tight, only tight at the top where the double knot is, i didnt get any. good luck if you do gold, thats like a 3 day trek?

I skipped Bronze. The teacher who organises it at my school is hopeless, so I'm just going to skip straight to Gold, to avoid the aggravation twice. To give you some perspective as to just how useless she is, last year she lost everyones certificates, and taught my class the same lesson 6 times.
People say that if you skip straight to Gold you haven't got a hope in hell, but I'll persevere. =D

lol what a useless sh*t that sucks you put hard work (i hope) and she doesnt, going straight t gold id gonna be tough, you have to do 1 years charity work and 1 year skill and 1.5 years of the same sport and a long hike up something like snowdonia or another biggish mountain, you have to plan your route you will take and have to have an objective for it like something about tree age or wildlife or rivers in different places and have to write something or present to your parent+ big crowd. so it takes a commitment but if you have someone more relyable as a leader, do it!

Hey flash people, I thought you all might appreciate this neat little test - you drag colored squares in order of hue and see how accurate your sense of color is. 0 is the best score - I got a score of 16. My parents got scores of 25 and 71.
apparently I'm bad with yellow-greens
someone posted this a short while ago. 16 is a decent score, it doesn't mean you're bad with greens. I got 30 if it's any comfort to you :)

DofE: Yeah I'm doing it :D I always do this kind of thing :)
Adman: It worked a few weeks ago but now it doesn't :( I managed to connect once this week and haven't succeeded again. Oh well.
Mwmike: Unlucky X( You should just write yourself a template and then change it to fit the game.
Website: Implementing AUTOMATIC user sign up = hard for someone with no idea as to even basic syntax for php and with no idea as to how to use mysql. Anyone willing to lend a hand? :( The HTML is the easiest thing in the world it's easy until I start catering for the bloody public X(
Sorry if I missed anything that I might have wanted to respond to.
That test is bullshit !!!
igot 80 last time and now i got 31...i don't think my color sight improved so much this week..

I got an 8 on my first try.
I don't know if this test is easier for programmers or artists honestly, programmers are good at looking at patterns and visualizing what goes between things and dealing with numbers but artists are better at visualizing how things look and knowing what colors go good together... but I don't know if that helps with ordering colors.
All this is distracting me from writing an essay on identity
At 9/21/08 03:11 PM, funkycaveman wrote: wow nice post mike, plus tldr sounds bad. i see your bringing in the posts! i hope you wont overtake me!
My posts are going up surprisingly quickly, especially since I've been taking longer with my posts. Most of my recent posts are at least three lines most of the time. I remember when you had about 1000 and no more than a week later you'd gotten yourself 1400 or something like that, quite amazing.
I've been trying to level up my whistle (from bronze to gold this week) so I've not been posting too much on BBS as I would if not, my count's going up quickly again, I'd expect it to start getting slower. The only thing that would make it raise sooner is that my typing is quicker now than it used to be. Ha, when I took those touchtyping lessons in primary school I didn't expect them to help this much.

Interesting theory. I seem to remember that you are a programmer and artist? I'm just a programmer. It does seem likely that you have some truth in there... my score was 4 points ahead of the other guys, and yours 4 points ahead of mine... coincidence?
yes. yes it is.

I got a 3 on my first try of that colour thing :)

lol, mine jumps up sometimes i swear it, im surprised i have 1000 in a few months, it kinda shows im a sad person, but i blow my whistle and the content does not get flagged, i hope i see something soon!
3 lines, how poor, as long as it helps people, but we have education now so it will have less posts?
Glaiel: Don't worry I'm useless as well. Gradients ftw!
Coolio: Yeah I established that. My favourite game of yours has got to be streamline. Musics catchy and just good old entertaining :)

Must... claw out... eyes...
want any help, i have a fork, fingers are too blunt trust me
Color Test
The first time I tried I got 50, the second time I tried I got 20. I would bet that it has such a small correlation to being a programmer or an artist and to being talented at art or not, that it doesn't actually show anything whether you get 0 or 100.

I'll borrow that to, if you don't mind.
