My ipod touch has a few dead pixels. I didnt notice them at first but now that I do they seem like they keep sticking out more and more. *agnry faic*

lol i remember that too. well you can't really blame me, the NG forums was the first time I actually typed in english. When you handwrite you automatically add spaces, because you don't actually need to press the spacebar. you guys should've told me that, it would have made me look like less of an idiot. now patu1 is the new me :p

i just saw my physics class teacher from last year through the window of my spanish class. luckily the bell rang 2 minutes later and i managed to find him, and now I will be attending this sort of "club" in my school where they do fun science stuff. yay, im officially a nerd. funny thing is i guess ive always been considered as a bit nerdish / smart guy in maths / science, but ive always had terrible grades everywhere. it's like if you present me the lesson, i can easily understand it and explain it to anyone, but when it comes to answering retarded questions on a piece of paper while respecting all the fucking neatness rules, i get bad grades. i fucking hate french schools. but still, fuck yea !!!

Also there is a time cap on how long they keep your files, if you're not a premium member. It's 90 days after the last download, you can also reset the timer I think at any time, so as long as you stayed on top of it, you could keep the files there forever, and megaupload is definitely reliable, since it's a huge business with plenty of customers.

Virus disaster

Well its kept me entertained for last few days trying to remove it all and get my computer to work again.

Basically I was looking for something, on google, i believe and I clicked one of the links it went to a site. And the site pretended to be windows. And it showed a progress thing. And I was like 'AHH shit' and went off the site. Turns out that fucked my computer up like hell. Constant pop ups telling me my computer is infected and i should download something to fix it (this was a fake message), if i google searched something and clicked a link it'll throw up a random site. If I went on a site to do with security etc, it threw up a connection error.

I think once before I had that virus, my brother was on once and when I walked past I realised a load of popups were coming up. After a while we had got rid of it.The popups sound like the ones you explained. The virus acted like windows (for example showing a picture of the antivirus section of control panel saying there was no anti-virus installed when, we knew, there was. I think the anti-virus scan didn't find anything but the anti-spyware did.

Right now we have a virus that hacks and turns off the computer and another (on laptop) which opens a load of popups with "CiD-" then the ad name in the title tag.

Oooh, I had that once. A Norton security scan, Ad Aware 6 scan, spybot search & destroy scan, spywaredoctor scan, and finally, nod32 scan seemed to fix it. :)

Also, check your boot.ini for unwanted programs that start on boot, i had some named "a.exe", "b.exe", when i had that virus, and those exe's were the files that looked like windows on the taskbar. :)

Heh, 'Malwarebytes' was the program that got rid of it for me. I could have gone through regedit and deleted them all but there was a folder that wasn't showing up for some reason, but i knew it existed as a scan told me :P
