Ok, guyz who have Steam.. do you have Counter Strike: Source? It's generally regarded as a benchmark in first person shooters and I just noticed its $20 on Steam which would be around £13 with VAT. Is it worth picking up? I love Call of Duty 4 (for PS3, I'm not paying $70 for it on PC too) so I though it might be worth paying £10 if a lot of people still play CS:S and the graphics are good :o So, any opinions?

Its good. Graphics aren't great, but its still fun and theres loads of different maps to keep you interested.

I don't personally play CS:S but my friend owns it and I have to say, it is really fun playing all the different modded game modes in a more conventional shooter. I also like the whole barricade a door by blowing a chair against it then holding off super strong zombie hordes. anothher good game (if you don't have it) is
the HL2:S it has even better game modes, seeing as how it's half-life, and the game modes are also really original (in some cases, at least) and puzzle solving factors into them.

However, you can deff blame all of their monitors, not displaying certain colours properly, might be an issue.

IF THATS NOT AN ISSUE, I laugh at them all (actually i do know a colourblind person so you never know :P )

CSS is a very fun game for the 3 days ive played it. i only used a guest pass. i suck at it though so i prefer team fortress.

and i dont want luis to go. =(

I have a pretty shitty monitor though :P I just worked on it by moving the colours to approximate area, then moving down the line swapping pairs and observing the hue differences with neighbours, clearly only 3 out of umpteenth tests failed, probably more that i started getting bored and not being as careful.

Hmmm, I'd say team fortress is better if you only play it for a week, but after a while, team fortress gets really boring whereas CSS doesn't.

PS3
I have a PS3, add me (I'm notliam). I have a tonne of games, the most-played-despite-age of which being COD4 and Orange Box (TF2). MGS4 is an amazing game, the online game mode is better than it seems - I mean, if you play well it is amazingly fun.. it's just not as accessible and fast paced as COD4 so I play that much more.

Monitor
I'm on my laptop so my monitor is LCD, good quality, the graphics card is ok (well 8400, good enough) and I got a 16 on the test.. I scored perfect on the first 2 tests and I must have had a couple out of place on the last 2.. :)
