If you got Flash CS3 to use ActionScript 3.0, which is well the only reason someone would get it, you've made a huge mistake.
Yeah, but it's MY huge mistake :3
You should never really use Flash CS3 IDE to use ActionScript 3.0. It's just not suited for it. If you want to use ActionScript 3.0 get the free Flex SDK and make the graphics with Flash IDE (any version). Alternatively, my favorite, start using haXe. Flash is inferior to haXe in every way.
I know, I was using FlashDevelop before, but it's just a bit annoying for some things, like Embed you're graphics [at least, that's what I've seen Gust do] in order to get them to work, and all that random stuff, like not being able to attach it to the timeline, it just makes making games in general harder. I also tried haXe, but I don't know it nearly as well as I know the AS's.
But eh, good luck learning ActionScritp 3.0 though! It's a great improvement over ActionScript 2.0 so it's a big step forward.
Well fuck me and call me Sally, I can't. Turns out that for some reason, the Serial Codes on TWO TOTALLY DIFFERENT FLASHES don't work, just because dumb and dumber, it doesn't seem to upgrade because of the Macromedia and Adobe difference or something. I'm SITTING HERE LOOKING @ THE SERIAL AND IT GIVES ME ERRORS. I then spend half an hour on the phone reaching Adobe to hear that Macromedia's Customer Service IS CLOSED EVERY SINGLE WEEKEND! What assholes.
Well, back to FlashDevelop, you have any good tuts on it? I just have issues with two things: 1. attaching graphics from Flash 8 to the stage with it, and 2. literally showing the graphics, since you need to use that stage.addChild crap, plus every single thing needs to have a Class and need to be attached. I found one tut on forget101.com or something, but it didn't really work well. Are then any FD open sources I could just look at?
I fucking hate customer service people.
