The meet-up sounds great, I really look forward to going to something like that in a few years.

I've heard CS4 is in production, in fact I've seen a few tests of it. Check out the beta on adobe labs. Search youtube for conventions and the net for examples of it. They're planning for a bone system (Inverse Kinematics) and native 3D.

Quiet about that, us two might not be let in. Also this lounge isn't just for forum regs but long time users of the flash program. That and the amount of programming would be very high.

yea and who would do it? but i havnt been on flash long but i have over 1000 posts? does that count, i think less than 4 months?

Since it's part of a forum the lounge bases it on how much posts you have and not the more important things like the quality of your posts. I'm not using you as an example, your posts are great tand there is a lot of them, say if a user with over 8000 posts posted they would be accepted without anyone seeing their posts while a user with about 500 probably wouldn't be accepted even if their posts are all helpful and in-depth.

yea so the lounge is post based? i wasnt even here for the redesign that i have heard a lot about but most of my posts go to the collabs and helping people out, i dont really post new threads unless i fell like a bit of a change.

I think respect comes with helping people out and post count but since looking at peoples posts can take too long people just judge from post count which can be found instantly, a respect system might be a good idea for that kind of thing but would also have stat whores trying to help out. At the same time proxies could be used to spam vote a user down or up.

a respect system can be easily taken advantage of, it would hve restrictions, like you can only vote the person up ad down when they have replied to your thread and you can only post a thread if you and a positive respect, and you need 100 respect for the reg lounge, or maybe it could be linked to your level?

I agree here... sorta... If i have to enter a password every time I visit the reg lounge that'd be nice ^_^ unless were talking having admins add a code to our login so that if people visit the reg lounge and they're noobs it says "you don't have admission to be here, request access?" mayhaps?
