Castle Crashers
My current XBL status seems to have died on it's arse lately (Laptop got the dreaded blue screen) and i used it to leech the wireless (Ethernet into laptop /steal laptop signal) but now it's dead not much i can do.

I'll get CC soon as i'm back on XBL hope to see you all on there.

I'd like to get Castle Crashers too but I can't understand these different versions of xbox's and how xbox live works and for that matter, how xbox live arcade works. The more words, the more confusing.

Anyway, if someone could like, guide me through how to get Castle Crashers I'd be really grateful.

At the moment I have and XBOX 360 with two controllers, one wireless, one wire... full. So where do I go from here? I understand XBOX Live is internet-based, amiright? Well, I have a internet cable.

You can make a free XBL silver account, and download CC, but you can't play it online with other people. You need a Gold account for that which costs money.

If you make a silver account then you get 1 month free of gold :P

I've been finding it kinda cool that the actionscripters are using the forum to run their little collaborative projects.. it makes us artists look bad when all we can run are shitball collabs (no offense to anyone running a shitball collab right now!)

Prolly cuz theres been so many shitball collabs that (good) artists are reluctant to join any collab, thats started by even good animators. With so many animation collabs in the fritz, theres a chance for actionscriptors to step up to the plate to start their own collabs and stuff.

Levels

When you see someone post do you judge the person by their level. For example, if you saw some level 5 noob post, and then you saw a level 30 post, who would you say was better than the other. Because for some reason whenever I see a low level post I automatically think that they aren't going to know very much and are noobs, even though some of the time its wrong. Also, don't pull the yellow aura in this cuz whenever you see a yellow aura you know its not a noob, unless its Luis.

Same, I was going to do it for XBLA (Geo. wars, and CC) but would it be worth the money? I just wish I knew whether the 360 would be able to hold future XBLA games (once Microsoft comes out w/ there new system)

Sadly, I have that same mentality. I don't think it's normally a wrong thing, but if they have common spelling errors, and a low level, I think noob immediately.

Its mixed, I have been on NG 3 years looking at flash, I bought flash and joined the day I got it.
So I know a bit about it without having it, and I am experienced as to what goes on here.

Then theres the idiots at level 23 that post stick animations.... like lines not brush or anything the really bad kind.

Levels
Yeah, I have a tendency to do that when it comes to levels, but then again their are some really good coders and animators who are at level one or two [luis is DQed from this list.] It's even more intimidating sometimes with post count, because you just assume that they're good if they have an enormous # of posts, while the lower post people don't know much. I had an experience with this just yesterday or two days ago, where some dumbass who thought because he had 6,000 general forum posts that he knew something, but he got schooled by some guy with 10-20 posts on like a two line code issue. It happened in the Programming Forum to me too, some guy with 25 posts who was a level 1 came over and gave me this really informative answer, I just sat their like 'Wow....'

Nicely done, I loved the different things the character could do. While some of the animation was not so clean, everything DID fit together seamlessly. Very good.

Back to School...

Tomorrow I leave to embark on my second year of college at the University of the Arts. I am absolutely looking forward to it. I have an apartment now with some friends, and I am finally starting to take classes directly relating to Graphic Design. It should be great.
