We didn't bother with the voice part since it was a quickie, but that's an option. It was pretty cool... saved a lot of time and frustration!! ...and they offer a 30-day free trials too.
Cool - I heard about this after a British hacker used it to get into nasa :3
And other means.
I use teamviewer to install things for other people when I can't be bothered to explain what to do to them.:)

It'll be a shame if he gets extradited. There's something really charming about hackers.

I wouldn't say that :/ There's just something really charming about the idea of hacking into top-secret US files to find evidence for UFOs, and not being caught for several years.
Most other non-violent crime is still pretty bad. Like pensions fraud. Or spamming. Or tax evasion.
Or piracy - that's always annoyed me. Like at some point in time people have decided that it's OK to steal stuff so long as it's duplicatable, and nobody's bothered to argue. I mean, it's not one of those silly laws like cannabis legislation that you're allowed to break without feeling like you're hurting anyone else. And the people behind sites supporting it are almost invariably the most arrogant, pretentious arse-faces ever to overcompensate for a lack of any kind of real life social skills.

So basically what you are saying is that if someone walked inside your house while you were away and stole all of your precious items you don't think they should be punished????
I know I'm late to the table on this, but I just played a few flash games in Firefox 3 and they ran lightning fast, faster, dare I say, than Internet Explorer....those firefox guys are finally starting to win me over....

What a dick. Seriously some people on NG just don't get how offensive they are sometimes that it goes past the point of being funny. I especially hate those people who write abusive reviews/retarded userpage posts just for the need for being jackasses. And this trend has been continuously rising, and truthfully, I don't see it ending anytime soon.

Hey guys. I just got a job offer involving animation that would require me to move away from 'home'. I was wondering if anyone had good advice for living alone? I'm really nervous about it...and any advice would help.
You have to live alone? Well, talk to you friends a lot I'm guessing, or make new ones and make them roommates.

Well, standing annoying people is part of life.
But i understand how horrible it can be, especially those mean reviews with low scores but no advice on how to improve at all....

No. I'm just blunt, but that doesn't make me an asshole.
No, what makes you an asshole is that you're criticizing someone for a problem you've never had to deal with, ya mollycoddled 15-year-old :P

spamburger: i don't find your comment offensive but it is harder to say then do for what i know you are around my age so you might not understand all the circumstances..

Rarely do I agree with Neg but i do this time. Its easy for little kids to say yeaaaa move out but its an entirely different matter to actually do so. Alot of people dont take under account how much more you actually need to make financially to realistically be able to move out (im talking moving out as in not just moving to a college dorm, where financial aid is your buffer... but literally going to your own place)
Theres food, gas money, insurance, your rent, your credit card bill, your car payment... in some cases utilities... your booze and titty bar money etc etc.
When i first moved out i was like yeaaaaa ill have plenty of money left over and yes i could easily cover my rent but i didnt take under account that i had to eat sometime.
Luckly, I didnt move to another part of the world away from my parents and was able to wean myself to make ends meet by going back home when mother was cooking something i liked.
Anyway my advice would be to analyze what your rent is and figure that you need to double that to be relatively comfortable. Also someone mentioned getting roomates, thats kinda makes things easier too.. although over time ive come to hate mine .. i only have one roomate now. I am willing to bite the bullet and pay more than to deal with another person eating my shit and drinking my beer. >:(
bitter much? lmao

I dont think its rude. I DO agree with you that you should grow a pair to take that leap once you are able to. Im just saying that your parents arent going to be happy to take you back once you leave. Its an unspoken blessing for them to get rid of you finally .. lets be blunt.

But yeah, my brother is moving to Colorado in September.
the real estate industry right now.. atleast here in the US is still a money pit right now. Thank you president bush. Anyway this is beginning to go into all sorts of topics not nearly relative to flash

Well, being related to both the leaving home topic and flash, guess i have some input. I for one have planned to finish my art degree at the college here (2 year program), but before i go on to get a BFA, i would very much like to stay home and work on my own projects from home. Not that i dont have the "balls" to leave, and not that i dont want to...but, i just think it would be better. Always promised i would make a dent in the portal some day, and i intend to. Maybe with this next game.
Anyone else make plans like this? And im almost thinking its immature to perposely stunt my own education and general life progression in the name of flash. Hopefuly it will be worth it.

I think there's a potential flash game right there. Break into Area 51 or whatever.

in the midst of all the back and forth flaming, I can give advice, as I moved out 3 weeks ago.
It helps to go through all you won't miss in your mind. Then live for 2 weeks without homecooked meals from your parents, realize that hey, I can't live off of ramen noodles after being raised on health food, so i order a whole ton of vegetables in the hopes that they will satisfy me.
It's a fun experience though. Hell, I learned why people hated comcast so much (never had to deal with them when I was living at home, my parents did that).
Ordered cable 2 weeks ago. Just basic cause I don't feel like paying $50/month for the next step up. There was already internet here. I asked they service guy what they needed to install, he said he didn't know, the tech guys would know. I asked if I needed the install to watch TV. He said yes. So he scheduled the install for the 19th. Anyway that day I plugged the cable in and it worked fine so naturally i'm a bit curious about what they needed to install. Come the 19th, no comcast guy shows up. At about 5:45 (wayyy outside their 8-12 window), the cable goes out and the internet goes off. But no comcast guy came here (i thought).
The next day, in our many service calls to comcast to get through, we finally get someone. And what do you know? Instead of hooking up the cable, the install consisted of them opening a box on my apartment and unplugging the service. Woo! The install was actually an uninstall that we didn't ask for! They also canceled the internet service which needed to be reactivated when the comcast guy came to fix their error 2 days later.
I will let you know if they charge for one/both of their visits.
I can't wait to move out :(
I really, really, really can't wait.

Bah, school is just as shite as having a job you don't like. I don't really mind when i move out, i've got plenty of stuff here, and my parents aren't particularly annoying. I'll move out when i have to ;).
Yeah well, that's just like, your opinion and stuff.

Beyond Flash
The last couple of months I have been learning C++ and many different libraries such as GLUT and Irrlicht, and wondered how many flash people here have moved onto greater languages from using Actionscript?
