I played HL2 when I was about 10. Totally messed up my head. I was up to (we don't go to ravenholm) by the way.

My dreams are in full blown color. Probably more colorful than real life, because whenever I wake up I remember vivid images.
I'm sorry I started a dream discussion. As far as color goes I think it depends what you're remembering, just remembering events in real life do you normally think about the colors of things? And since it's all psychological and no real color is involved 'dreaming in color' has a loose definition, I do remember the animation I dreamed of last night having color, especially that the guys teeth were yellow, kinda reminded me of hans crazy art.
Why hallo thar.

I haven't been here in months, did he ever have his fabled return?
Hairhats
Awesome, must of taken months to do. A very passionate way of showing off your artistic skills.
Dreams
I once had a dream that i was eaten by a jumper, and inside this carnivourous piece of fabric was the full cast from the simpsons. But these simpsons were hungry, and cannabalistic, so i had to run from the simpsons to family guy who helped me get out of the man eating jumper and into the real world. Yup.
**DISCLAIMER**No drugs were used in the making of this dream.

That's the coolest thing I've ever seen.... Ever.
Dreams
It's weird, actually - last night I dreamed the most awesome game level ever created by anyone, and I'm trying desperately to sketch it out by memory. It was just so unbelievably epic and colourful.

At first i was like what is it? and then i saw the video and was like awesomesauce, mustve taken aaaaaaaaages!

Dreams
I've been dreaming a lot lately of epic game ideas. But everytime I try to put into words exactly what the dream is about, suddenly the game seems very incomplete. For example, last night I dreamed I was on a flying chair device, similar to Dr. Robotnik in the first level of sonic. I was picking up humans and dropping them into groups of zombies who fed on the human and combined to create a larger monster. And I had to fly around dodging these larger monsters and they'd swipe at me and finally this large ass monster managed to grab my foot and I flipped out and woke up.

Close but..i'd say its better than dA. You'll be able to submit art, flash, and articles (for tutorials, news, w/e) and also, we'll print shirts and buttons and stickers of things that get enough votes and there will also be an actual printed Camp North magazine that'll have showcase art on the site. It'll be a culture magazine as well. So, hopefully it'll be pretty big. Don't just sum it up as another dA...

In that case, I can't wait to see it. I'd love to join up. dA is nice and all, but I've grown tired of it. Something refreshing sounds nice. WIll it be mostly illustration stuff, or are other types welcome?

I hope its not.... one of my annoyances with dA is that you can shit on someones face... upload it and youll still get positive feedback on it.... people have no balls there to tell you your shit sucks.
NG>dA forever.
None

Yeah, I used to go there to check how my mate's artsy stuff was doing. There's seriously not one negative review on the entire site (at least there wasn't when I used to go), and some of the stuff there is balls.
Being lovely and friendly is great, but sometimes you need brutal feedback so you can improve :P
That said, it's great that artists over there aren't pressured into appealing to an impossible audience of idiots.
The hardest part of animating
I think it's character animation, I'll never be able to get that part right.
Walking cycles always take me the longest in an animation =_= i hate them

What compelled you to call it Camp North?

I always get lazy and end up doubling every other frame :s
Actually, at the moment I'm forcing myself to do one walk or attack cycle every day. If I let them all pile up then nothing'll get done, so spreading them out should make development a hell of a lot smoother.
My next little Project
I'm currently working on quite a large project with Evan, however as another smaller project that I hope to slot into my remaing spare time this summer is to re-create an old ZX Spectrum game called Frank N. Stein (I won't be suprised if none of you have even heard of it, nevermind played it!).
Why this game you ask? Well it just so happens that the creator of that game (Colin Stewart) is my father! He created the game when he was around 16-17 (1984), and since I'm at a similar age now I thought it would be fitting to re-create my Dad's classic with the latest technology (Namely, ActionScript 3) and then suprise him with it!

That's a wonderful idea! I'm sure your father will be thrilled with your remake!
What business is your father in now days?

He works as a Software Developer these days.
Dreams
Dreams really are weird. I just got Metal Gear Solid 4 and its the first time ive played a Metal Gear Game in god knows how long, and ive been having dreams about MG. Its creepy actually. This one was about me in Atlantic City, New jersey, and i just keep seeing FROGs and the BNB chicks flying in the sky while PMCs keep boardwalk watch. freaky.
BTW: HAPPY 1900 POOOSSTTTT
Game Ideas
I've been giving serious thought to making a game where you play as a sperm and your mission is to fertilize an egg.
Any thoughts? It feels like this might have been done before.

I think it has before, hasn't it? sounds like something that should of been at least. Its getting hard now to think up original games now and a days :P, seems like everything has been taken..
