I just realized that some of the users in my favorite artists list have underscores.

Sucks to be them. XD

Yeah, I'm thinking I'm back.

Thankyou very much :D

1176: users that start with -
1251: users that end with -

Thats actually less than i thought. Bummer about the underscore one though. Lets hope most change their alias themselves.

Look.

And I was involved in a record this time. :D

Just now it was 393 again. Wanted to see if it would go up, so I could get a screenshot of something good. :D

That would be really interesting to see!

of course, you can just pull them out with WHERE username LIKE '%Clock%'

I'm guessing though, that this is something that the NG public probably can't do though. :P

I don't really see the point in users who aren't affected by the change getting new names. If Tom has no problem doubling his work by fulfilling those requests while trying to accomplish the main goal of removing the "illegal" names, then sure, go for it.

It seems like giving away replacement items for a defective item, and other people just coming along and taking the replacements even though they never initially had the item. Or maybe people who weren't affected by a hurricane going to get hurricane relief money.

The point is... Don't lose your dinosaur.

I can understand the no hyphens and no underscores at the beginning or ends of names, or two in a row, but honestly is there a point in eliminating underscores altogether? i don't see a point to it.

But there's not actually that many people online. It's the same number as usual, but everyone's changing their username and because the online list takes a while to update, it shows both sets of usernames.

If you have a pm buddy list you could check all names you type out and it will say if it exists or not.

Yeah, but that won't give me an accurate or precise number of usernames that have Clock in it...

The way that Tom's post was worded, it sounds like these username requirements have to be inorder for the new system to work. I don't think it's just Tom's way of saying he hates underscores.

Will it still log in and redirect them to their new name, or will they just get errors saying the name doesn't exist?

they will get errors. Happened to me when I had my name changed and tried to post. Said i didnt exist lol.

I'm not changing mine...for the sentimental value...

It's like a memorial to the "_" and "-UserName-"

So i can say in like 3 years "Remember when everyone was "-"something or "_" something?"

"ahhh those were the good days"
Or something like that...
