Actually, the other Rubber-Ninja is from 2002. :)

Okay, I have barely been around much lately, but I don't understand why this is necessary. The changing of inactive users and that are great ideas, but i don't see the problem with hyphens and underscores.

And yeah, I don't feel like reading through 23 pages, hence why I ask despite it probably being asked and answered already. Sorry.

It's because the new profiles are said to going to use a subdomain-like address like: pure_lionheart.newgrounds.com

That would function correctly because underscores are not valid for domain names, and browser compatibility would be off and I'm not sure about mod_rewrite compatibility but I don't think it would work either.

AUGH, * NOT function correctly

That's what happens when you try to type at 2:35 in the mernin.

An inactive user purge, if it happens, would be a good thing. It'd help people get a more accurate view of how they stack up in terms of stats...

I mean, if you have 1 blam or protect, you're pretty much in the top tier of Newgrounds members statistically. It'd be nice to reduce that oddity, as well as get a more accurate view of the current NG population.

Ahhh, I see. Thank you very much for yourquick and helpful response. :-)
I barely know anything about these new profilesor layouts or levels or anything. But then, I'm not very active anyway, so I guess I don't have to. ;-)

From this point on, new account names must follow these rules. Also, you will not be able to edit your user info without being forced to update your name. I know this is an inconvenience for a good number of users, but this change allows us a lot more flexibility with the user system.

So if we edit are user info we have to change our name?!

It'd be nice if I could go back to CrimsonEdge, but it seems that someone took that name from me. I don't think they've done anything with the account, as they have no posts or flash.

Maybe it was me simply securing the name. Maybe I forgot the password.

No need to change mine.

I can't change my name just to "Rudy" because it's oddly taken.
I used the search engine and the BBS engine for any signs of the account or them being on Newgrounds and it isn't coming up.

So what should I do?
My name is still Rudy..but the name has been taken. =[

You're one of the only cases where underscores looked good on your name. Seems like something's sort of missing now. :(
