Even though it often seems that all you guys get is hate and worthless criticism, you have loyal fans among the users of this website, Star Syndicate. Don't be discouraged. =)

When I look back on the past 2 years of my life, I can honestly say that I am proud of having an internet family like the Star Syndicate. It's sad, but our leave is certainly inevitable. We have truly lost focus on what the Stars really are about, and it's definitely tearing us apart.

The Star Syndicate wasn't founded as a spam group. It wasn't founded as an internet trolling group. It wasn't founded with the aim of being a legendary flash group. It was founded for the purpose of having fun. We really had no goals or aims. Hell, our stated purpose was to "masturbate and drink punch", which most members of the SS have either never heard or have completely forgotten.

None of it is fun anymore. Reading pages of angry reviews gets boring, until you read that one hilarious review that comes along once in a blue moon. Winning Turd Of The Week is no longer fun because the awards are forced, and nothing funny is actually winning anymore. Winning Underdog with a shit movie was boring since nothing can ever top the impact of Jerry's Quest For Gold by Sixstar. These latest crap submissions are only shadows of it's truly hilarious and abusive predecessors. It's sad because the purpose of these newer ones are to annoy people, whereas the previous ones were just to have fun. These newer movies fail at it's intended purpose, which really shows how mediocre we really have become at it. We never were meant to just submit garbage. We did that for fun. If it's not fun anymore, why do you people keep doing it? Find another way to get your kicks.

The SS can't possibly survive another 2 years of the same generic antics. We only survived so long because of various situations, like the Da5Crew incident, or Shin2k27 and Underglove during our early days. We really do need to get creative and begin attacking people like this KKuyubbi (or whatever) guy for kicks like we used to. We have to do what is fun. We have to do what makes us laugh. These lame cartoons is not getting us our kicks anymore.

However, this doesn't mean that we should work to the bone to make some incredible masturbation-worthy flash movie to make all the ungrateful 13-year-olds on this site wet their pants. That's also not what our group is about. If you honestly believe that this is the path we must take, then you are misguided as well. We never were intended to be the legendary flash group we have become. Yes, we do submit movies that get decent scores, and yes, some animators are going to get upset when other collaborations with low scores drown the collabs with higher scores. I understand that. But it's not about the scores, the reviews, the recognition, or the fandom. It's about having fun. I laugh at Zekey's The Atonement series, which was graphically intense, but at the same time I enjoyed the Flipsided Collection (now lost with Sevenstar's accoun) because of how flipsided ended up getting gang-raped by a bunch of black men. We need movies that are funny. We need movies that have the SS-brand of humor, not graphically intense cartoons, nor cartoons that are just a flashing image. Get creative, and stop being lame, all of you.

It's unfortunate, but because you have all lost the way, I'm going to have to shut down the Star Syndicate. I've given a lot to this group, and I've put a lot of work into it. I lost sleep making sure Dailytoon 200 came out on time. When Dailytoons first started, I sometimes had to put hanging out with friends aside to make sure a Dailytoon came out (which is why I had to get j00bie to organize it). I lost my main account last year getting a movie an award. I love this group. I love it's members. I love you all. But you are all fighting, and I won't have any of it. It's nobody's fault specifically. If it's anyone's fault, if you're to blame anyone, blame me. I haven't managed this group as it was intended, but I let other people try to change it. It's not their fault for getting ambitious: it happens to all of us. I apologize for abandoning you guys, and now I think it's best if we shut down. After Dailytoon 250, we'll call it quits. The boards will shut down indefinitely.

Oh yea, because every movie we submitted on star day was blammed ( Actually not 1 movie made by the SS was blammed on Star Day, AND we sweeped the daily awards. a feat no other group has accomplished on their birthday)

The SS is dying because we can no longer top ourselves. We have done everything; got a blank screen flash to win an award other than totw, we have the largest flash series on Newgrounds, we've won all 5 daily awards in a single day, the list gos on and on. To those of you cheering about the SS dying should really shut the hell up because through our evil, we have helped and conrtributed more to this site than any of you will your entire time being here. Before the SS the vote panel would show up before you clicked watch this movie, before the SS a movie's score was shown as it was under judgement, before the SS an author's BA was shown under judgement. Literally all those things were changed because of US. What have you done to make the site better and give newer artists a fairer chance? (absolutely nothing)

Who knows, maybe in a few months we'll be able to resolve our differences and come back to entertain you with more of our amazing flash. But until that time comes, I'd like to just say, thanks Newgrounds(I know we gave ya shit and pretended to hate you, but we don't really), thanks to all of our fans(however small) for the great support we've received, and to everyone that has ever contributed to anything the SS has done (daily toons, Star day, etc.) thank you, without your support the SS would've died months ago.

I have a little question, if "The Flash Fighters" were more like the original Star Syndicate, just with new managment, would you appreciate it better?

This is big news. While frankly for the most part I was not a SS fan I too noticed on how the SS submissions grew less and less... Maybe it was just never meant to be.

Well. Can't say I was a fan of much of the SS's stuff, but I did enjoy plenty of pieces that were made by some of the individuals who comprised the group (i.e. ZekeySpaceyLizard, rtil, etc.).

Honestly, I'm kind of glad that the SS is dead. Now that j00bie and Chrome- are so scarce, the SS has been full of little shits who are wrapped up in trying to get stupid flashes to pass and fileswapping and whatnot.

Now, I read the arguement about the purposefully acheiving TOTW, and I have this to say: It's stupid. The point was to make them hilariously bad? Too bad, most of them weren't. They weren't hilarious, just bad. Hell, I've seen stuff by the Barney Bunch that put a hell of a lot of recent SS work to shame in the field of hilariously bad. You wanted to point out flaws in the voting system? You failed. By having a following of so many SS fans, you basically did the same thing foamy fans have been doing that YOU hate so much: voting high on stuff that is of declining quality merely because it carries a name that is associated with greatness.

Frankly, I don't see why you guys just weed out the shitty animators and whores and just keep the dedicated, talented members and turn the SS into something that means quality work, with the occasional trick flash, of course. Because frankly, anyone can make a bad flash. But only those with talent and drive can come together and make stuff that anyone can watch and say "Hey, that's really good".

You all disappointed me in your flash, and it was a trial to even see what greatness you COULD do, due to the sheer number of nearly identically-titled Daily Toons I'd have to sift through to see what you guys were capable of.

Maybe, now that the SS has dissolved, you can all work on your own pieces. You shouldn't have to work with people you hate to please a group.
