Melee weapons are better, since they need time and strategy to be used in a fight. Guns are just too cheap, "one shot one kill" if you know what I mean.

1) Yes, there will be 60 level icons. The current levels will be adjusted to cover the spread from 1-60 instead of 1-30, with the current level 30 becoming level 60.

If your doing another 30 levels. You should redo all the levels. So it matches the other 30

Is the last aura black? Also, what about the fact that dark aura people vote low on flashes, light aura people vote high on flashes, and neutral auras vote medium on flashes? What will pinkish purple and black (I think it is) be?

It'll probably be based on your Blams vs Saves.

The most saves, the lighter the aura, the mroe blams the darker the aura.
