I sent the following letter. Feel free to grab it and add your name on the site. It's better than the basic 'save mah net' they put as default.
Congress must preserve a free and open Internet. Please vote for enforceable network neutrality and keep tollbooths, gatekeepers, and discrimination off my Internet.
I am emailing you because I care deeply about the issue of net neutrality, and wholeheartedly hope that no person under the seats of the House or Senate is swayed into letting the lynchpin of tech driven nation fall into deep shambles by giving into corporate pushes.
This is perhaps, the only issue I have paid attention directly as a voter.
I want the internet, a place where millions work, and billions surf, to remain an unbiased source of info at my fingertips. If the law is passed where companies can be put in charge of controlling it, literally we will be cutting off millions of people from recieving info they want at the same speed they request and pay for.
More info can be provided at request, but I ask you to look into this and let people publically know where you stand, because this affects all of us, as Americans.
If the net becomes biased, then every time you or I surf, and do not go to corporate sites, we will be shoved into a slow zone and forced to wait regardless of what we as consumers paid for our service. This is unfair, and come election day will not stand before the American people as something to be swept under the rug.
I urge you with your powers granted by us, use them for the betterment of the people.
Help protect the internet.
