Portal: Hey, there's been some really good submissions this week. However, blams are hard to come by. Not much abuse, but there has been notable turds, such as the dozens of Choco Breaks that constantly steam through the portal. Oh, and if you ever needed a reason to watch a flash before voting, here it is:

Yep. Rather than complain about the portal for another three paragraphs, I'll move on.

BBS: Business as usual. I've been posting around General lately, it hasn't changed a bit. The annual BBS Awards are still up for grabs. I never really participated in them until this year. Clubs and Crews is still very entertaining.

I should do these reports more often.

Yep, I've been checking around the General section the past couple of days. There's some interesting topics here and there. The one topic that grabbed my interest the most was the one regarding the attack on the royal family ( http://www.newgrounds.com/bbs/topic/1216 838/1 ). I've also been checking up with the Political section here at Newgrounds.

It is always interesting to here what people have to say regarding political matters and such.

I should do these reports more often.

I suggest that everyone votes in the BBS awards on the general forum. There are a couple of good users out for awards such as Haggard for most underrated, Bahamut for best mod, etc... I've gotten more votes this year for an award than I received all the other years put together, but I don't care to win since there are better nominations in the same category.

I'm definitely going to vote (relatively soon), and just about all of the votes possible are going to Wi/Ht/C&C people, not just because I know them but because in all of their respective categories they're definitely the best and most fitting users. A few hours ago I read through the '08 voting and it gave me some very serious nostalgia, I remember how desperate I was to get the Rookie of the Year, me begging for votes in my sig and such, looking like an utter wanker. Goodtimes. :3

Yeah, I tried to do the same thing because I know those were the people who deserved it the most. The thing is you can only vote for the people that made the finals though. There were some that I didn't quite agree with, but I just went with the "best" one in the group.

Yeah, it does give the site a very festive look. I think it's a nice change from the gritty grey and orange scheme. Besides, orange and blue look awesome together.

I like how they redid the level icons, too. A few are halfassed, especially level 49, but the rest are great.

Short answer: Yes

Slightly longer, but still short answer: It was actually just a copy and paste from the "private" forums. There has been zero activity there and I'm assuming the list hasn't been updated since it was made. And you're still a frozen turd so that didn't help.

Same ole' thing. Looking for work, job market isn't too bright this side of the northern hemisphere. While I'm looking I figured I could use my spare time to enjoy Newgrounds again like I did years ago. It's weird as hell coming back here and remembering being just a kid with a 2 figure budget trying to run this place when I have resources now and I can actually invest money in things I want.

Well, essentially, I discovered 4chan in about 08. Then I discovered girls. So, that took up a lot of time lol. I've been checking the portal infrequently the whole time, though. As far as life goes, I'm just about done with my first semester at UW-Madison, which is pretty incredibly difficult, so I'd be down for dedicating some time over Christmas break to this thread. So, Phantom, how's Israel and such?

I've been gone for a while myself but I'm rather surprised how many good submissions are starting to pass through the portal now. It seems like a lot of those small game sites and companies are submitting things and objectively speaking I haven't encountered as much crap as there used to be.

So guys, I don't know how many times I've been banned in my life, but it hasn't been many. Finally I got banned for a useful cause. Banta Claus banned me, haha.

What got you banned? I got banned a couple times but I still claim innocence and have sent letters proving my fault and lack thereof. Unfortunately it doesn't always seem to work.

I actually was basically asking for this one. I guess I received a 12 hour ban or so. No big deal. I posted in the Banta Claus thread and got banned by Banta Claus. I guess I basically asked for it.

I see it is not easy to find life for this thread. We try and try some more but it seems that quite simply interest has faded rapidly and there isn't much to be done despite best wishes. Even I find myself with nothing to say that could contribute and I'm sure others as well, see the banter of the thread and struggle to find anything on their minds worthy of typing out in public.

Yep the portal has become a somewhat similair version to YT. I cringe when I think of it but it's true. You find some videos of people NOT animations of some sort. There is a reason why it's called FLASH portal. But no. And more stolen crap is passing. Maybe we aren't as fast as we used to be.. I don't know. Wish I had a stronger whistle to tank down the stolen flashes and such. Anyway how are my fellow NGDD members?

What are your opinions on these? Be honest. None of them have flash and very few of them have any sort of animation at all.

My opinion is there's a difference between youtube crap and live action videos. You may disagree, but I'll stand strong to defend my view.
