Dude, heard of the upcoming Gorgoroth album already? It's supposed to be out next month, it's titled "Ad Majorem Sathanas Gloriam"

Is that a spoof of Putnam's band? I added you already, btw.

Vobiscum... I saw that on a Dark Funeral cover... fuck I don't know latin. Eh. Whatever.
Svart metaller ist krieg.
Anywho, I'm expecting to get Setherial's Nord soon along with another CD. I'm looking for atmospheric/epic black metal in the vein of old Immortal and Setherial. I'm thinking of Summoning, but would you have any other expectations, Greekbastard?
Im pretty new to all the black metal but fav band so far is
cradle of filth

Pretty much the single worst excuse for a shitty BM band ever. Look into Immortal, old Naglfar, Dissection, Burzum and Nazgul for some of the more accessable BM.

Personally, I think COF made ONE bm album: Dusk and Her Embrace. It was the british version of In The Nightside Eclipse. If you don't believe me, listen to it. The EXCELLENT songwriting, the nocturnal sounding production (that's right, they once had subpar production) and the atmosphere rules. Anywho, everything after that sucks ass.

Yep, I enjoy that album a lot. However, it still doesn't make up for everything that came after.

Not nearly. I hate how Dani got so fat and how the band became so superficial. Dani used to be skinny and not wear face paint and made good music. :(
I think Graveworm is the band that Cradle of Filth should have been after their decline.

Yeh, I though I think if they had stuck with the approach they did on Dusk And Her Embrace, there wouldn'tve been a decline.
By similar reasoning, Alghazanth is the band that Dimmu Borgir should've been when they started to decline. I mean, I listen to For All Tid or Stormblaast and then listen to EDT and I cry.
Anywho, Tvangeste is another band COF should've been after their decline, though Graveworm does a better job than Tvangeste. Tvangeste's production job is too dry with not enough bass or reverb, and the guitars aren't mixed up enough.

I've never been a fan of CoF, but yeah, DaHE is a decent album.

I can stand For All Tid and Stormblast, but I've never liked them much. But you're right, EDT was where they REALLY started going completely downhill.

I agree. Graveworm are indeed better. My other band Coffinfeeder will play "Hateful Design" by them next month, first live apperance, I'm pretty excited already :) and nervous

I still like it after having it for 5 or 6 years.

For All Tid hinted at viking metal; it would've been cool if they pursued that direction.

Yes... I heard em on BMR. What's their best album?
Speaking of industrial bm, anybody get Aborym's latest, Generator? I have a few songs from WNHI and the entire Fire Walk With Us, plus a few KYB songs. I generally love Aborym, though I heard they have a human drummer now. Anybody get that album?

i think nonanthropogenic. even though it was just oustad and risdal i think that it just sounded more creative. plus, i love dead shining star.

I don't think Aborym can make bad music. Whether it be techno, industrial bm, or both, they rule. And KYB is more straightforward bm, yet it rules also. Roma Divina Urbs and Tantra Bizarre pwn my sawkks.
found a quaint little compilation album for download...

Ya... I think so... I wonder how he's gonna keep up with the Fire Walk With Us songs... they're pretty damn fast.
Just a note:
That compilatoin is a fuckin DEAL. I like most of the songs on there, V:28, Vinterriket, and Novalis (believe it or not) have caught my attention, but I havent listened to it all in sucession. I have a hard time getting past V:28, damn that catchy song.
Any BM news?

Got Aborym's KYB. It's great, but not as good as Fire Walk With Us, but it does have Aborym's weirdest song on there: Tantra Bizarre. Download and find out.
