I don't want any NS themes in my music. I'm strictly against them, but that might be because I usually pay quite some attention to the lyrics.

I listen to early Graveland though, back in 1995 he wasn't all about "Wotan" being "white and proud".

I'm not a big fan of NSBM. Just the label puts me off from the music on a personal level, and I find it difficult to enjoy the music. It's the same with christian music, as soon as i learn it's christian preachy stuff i don't like it anymore. That may sound superficial and shallow, but it's what it is. I prefer my BM to be about Satanism, Paganism, Vikings and other standard black metal stuff (like nature)

on a related note: i've heard some people label Burzum as NSBM. While Varg was into the anti-racial mixing thing, I'm pretty sure Burzum, as an isolated musical project, was/is not NS.

I'm not sure here, could you help me clear this up? If Burzum is indeed NS, i might've just broken my own rule of not liking NSBM.

this is where i come a bit stuck as well with quite a lot of NSBM, whilst some lyrical content is smack-in-the-face NS others is quite difficult to work out.

These are lyrics from an NSBm band called Gontyna Kry, now as a person who does not share this view point i cannot see the NS in it:

the one thing i remember about NSBM is that they are rather weird people who are afraid of change, who happen to make music thats enjoyable, some are highly intelligent and usually highly misguided (VARG) if you read his writings on the burzum sites they are well written and intelligently written, but they are little more then eloquent ravings of a man who will soon be forced back into a world he does not understand.

Meh, the only NS i've ever heard was Nokturnal Mortum. Accually, since Ukrainians were concidered inferior by the Nazi's, I wonder if they even qualify. Yeah, the whole album called "The Other Side" is worth it. Their sophomore album is more brutal, less melodic and simply less memorable, blast-beat driven Marduk/Dark Funeral styled BM.
