pffft! I started a campaign to try and get elected mod.
SOMEONE MUST HAVE FORGOTTEN TO TELL ME NEWGROUNDS IS NOT A DEMOCRACY!!!
I am willing to take the responsibility as a Forum moderator.
Just spare the information regarding a Moderator's responsibilities to me, and I'll decide for myself.
I understand that being a forum moderator has many dire consequences for those who fail to fulfill their duty, but I have confidence that I am able to take this job seriously.
My reason for nominating myself is because I want Newgrounds to not only become a step closer to a spam-free online society, but to also make Newgrounds a more enjoyable place with less unwanted material. Plus I am a very frequent visitor to this site including most of its movies, games and facilities (BBS, Reviews, etc...) the site has to offer.
Though I may be a low-level ranking user, somewhat unfamiliar with the current moderators and be rather oppresive when it comes to rules at times, I am willing to take the responsibility as a moderator of the Newgrounds Bulletin Board System.

But do you think from reading this people will just try to act the same as you described just to be one. I also have to point out that once someone has become a mod they don't act mature and just don't help users, when they ban people they always have a bad remark to say about the users and I'm not talking about people spamming, I'm talking about every day new user things, like a topic that had already been made, the mod just doesn't simply say, "sorry this topic has already been made, we do have a search system so try that before posting."
Just something to point out.

Even if it was, no one voted for you. People just posted and said that you as a mod would be a horrible idea. Thats not a vote.
I doubt thier will be any more BBS Mods for a loooong time. It's pretty much a solid group now.
Even if it has become solid, there are still some glaring holes in the site.
If they are referring to the BBS Moderators, then the BBS is fine.
But if they are referring to Review Mods, then they have a long way to go before they make it an Insult-free and dumb-proof site.
Most of the time people are mature and good, but theres no harm in a joke here and there, as long as its not too horrid or hateful

Not to mention THE POWER OF GREYSKULL
another way to become a mod is to go out and make your own forums, hell, you can even have Wade and Tom's job if you go that route...but it can be a bit of work though, I'm finding that out personally.

Nough said? Thought so....
Well actually you really need to. Most of the people around here want to go through their collective fun and just make fun of you if you fuck up.
But a MOD is diffrent. They will point out your problem to you, tell you what you need to do different, ban you, and THEN make fun of your sorry ass.
And why is a MOD better then a regular user? BECAUSE 4 BURNS AT ONE TIME MAN!

well its your fault for having a stupid system that isn't actually democrary you guys.
Haha he can win with LESS votes than someone. Hahah your system is retarded. Assuming you live in the U.S. that is.
And for all the clever souls who haven't noticed yet ( DARKLILANGEL) thisi is a reaaaaally old thread.

we have the westminister system here fewl. except that our upper house is all elected. you're the same aren't you bitch? silly canuck, assuming cos I talk about George W that I am a yank. I think you been drinking too much maple syrup.
RE this entire post: ???????

More Review Mods wouldn't change anything. Every spammer that spams thier links/abuse DOES get banned. Thier's nothing more we can do. The power for me to delete reviews would help i suppose, but apart from that it's under control.
i think they need to do something about the morons who repost the same crappy movie ten times a day under differant accounts cuz they got a isp thingy that changes their isp number
I became a mod because I am sexy.
....yeah. That's the ticket.

The more mods the better that way the problems are found more easilier.

A chain of Moderators around the world who visit Newgrounds on different time intervals gives the BBS plenty of monitoring coverage, especially during the AM hours of NG Time.
I just happen to be online during those times because I live in the +0800 GMT timezone.
If I by chance can become a moderator, I promise good monitoring and proper clean-up procedures whenever necesessary.

I live in the UK too, and so does liljim. Time Zones aren't a problem i don't think.

Timezones aren't a problem, it's an advantage.
If there is one Moderator for every Timezone hour change around the world, then there would make good monitoring for n00bs and bad sectors of the BBS.
I'm nominating myself because I do not live anywhere near America OR Europe. I'm from China, there's about 9 hours difference between America-China-Europe on average. And since I visit the site and help others every day, I think that having me as a moderator would expand what I can do and reduce n00bish acts around Newgrounds.
