This crew is only for those that are 18+, because you can not donate blood if you are a minor.

Rules:

- Follow the NG BBS rules
- Members must donate blood at least 2 times per year
- Members have to donate in the World Blood donor day (June 14th)
- Your level in Newgrounds and/or posts and/or time here doesn't matter. Your rank will raise everytime you donate blood or platelets.
- Guys and girls are the same here.
- Respect other members privacy. You can say to who did you donate or not if you wish.
- Everytime you donate blood/platelets you have to take a picture of paper you're given after the donation. Or scan it. This will prove you really donated. Or you could take a picture of yourself while you're doing it.

Our first goal: Get as much people as possible next June 14th, (World blood donor day) to make a donation.

If you need more info, you can get some at the official World blood donor day website

Optional: Try to keep a link in your sig to this crew, so more people can join us.

Any question related to this crew, blood donation, the World blood donor day can be posted here.

Our members will have a special sig pic. Request for it or use the picture below to make your own.

i've donated blood before and i'm under 18, in my state you can donate at 16 with parental permission and on your own at 17 so... that doesn't always apply

Well, if in your state or country is legal to do it, I don't see a problem with it :)

ive never donated blood..
mainly because it scares the hell out of me..
losing blood isnt normally a good thing..
what is your motivation to donate blood?
how do you stand looking at the blood being drained from your arm?
any words that may encourage me to do this?

I'm a bit confused.......

Other than donating blood, which is a very noble thing to do, what are the other subjects that will be discussed in this club?

Tips on donating blood?

When Chuck Norris goes to give blood he declines the syringe and instead asks for a handgun and a bucket.

I'm in, I donated last week, seeing as I spent 8 weeks saying "I'll do it at the weekend" But never gathering the courage to.

It wasn't as bad as I frst thought, being afraid of needles and everything.

You can save more than 1 life with a single donation... ain't that good reason? :)

how do you stand looking at the blood being drained from your arm?

You don't have to look at it if you don't want to do it... First time, the best you can do is think on something else instead of think that your blood's been 'drained'

any words that may encourage me to do this?

You'll feel like a new man after this :) Your life might get a new meaning after this...

Don't try to keep it alive 'bumping it' :)

Just add a link at your sig and let your friends know about this ;)

I had a friend who donated a few weeks ago and nearly passed out on the table.. because she donated too much and I guess she kinda just fainted... it was temporary and she's fine now, but it scared the shit out of all of us...

Response to Blood donors crew 2006-04-28 02:55:55

I'm in. I've donated four times now. Three times in high school and once here at college. I may work the symbol into my signature at some point, but it doesn't look all that promising for the time being. Link is also something I can't promise.

I don't have any pictures of my previous donations, but I have my donor card which represents one donation with two extra donations written on the back. I threw away the card they sent me for my first donation that had my name incorrectly on it (Avan instead of Evan).

I'll check in here every once in a while, I guess.

My personal blood-giving topic.

I guess is hard for girls to donate, because they have their period and all that...

Welcome Evan :)

I hope you join us next June 14th in our mass donation day ;)

It actually helps them with their period. Makes it not so bad, since they have less blood that their body is willing to part with.

Welcome Evan :)

Why thank you.

I hope you join us next June 14th in our mass donation day ;)

Well I'm not sure. A certain event taking place just before then could leave me with a bit too much alcohol in my blood to be eligible to donate.

I'll make an effort though.

That's not encouraging him, at least he wants to give blood, he's just having trouble prepping himself for it.

Also, 17? Tish.

I have been donating blood since the i turned 18.(im 20) I donated blood on my 18th birthday! I do it about 3-4 times per year. I do it because it makes me feel good to know that someone who really needs it, is going to get it.

I believe a nurse told me alcohal dissipates in the blood and breaks down... It may not matter. Besides your body will get rid of about an ounce an hour. 1 drink, 1 hour...

To: Ozcar -

I think more folks would donate, if they knew where to go. Is there a website that has dates, times, and places listed where folks could go. Something like a national registry. (In my case, in America; specifically NYC)?

Response to Blood donors crew 2006-05-08 01:14:27

Even though I am unable to donate due to my age I fully support this club. Donated blood helped keep me stable both times during open heart surgery.
