No-one's meantioned that the header is actually smaller now. I'm used to it :D
Height don't bother me :)
SIG YOINK!
New header is really cool XD. I'm kinda new at newgrounds (it's been about month since I'm here) and I think that new slogan makes more sense too. Besides, whatever you'll change at newgrounds is just fine for me, except that i wouldn't stand removing this thing at flash portal where flash-icons are exploding XD

Million dollars isn't allot of money for something you been working at for this long, depending where you live that is some parts here on the east coast 1 mil will gets you a 3 bedroom house with a 2 car garage... Newgrounds is worth way more then that do some research you'll be surprised what a site like this will bring..
At 2/16/06 11:37 AM, TomFulp wrote: BTW - we noticed a dramatic increase in sign-ups yesterday. If the trend continues, it means the new header has encouraged a lot more people to sign up for accounts. Hopefully that's a good thing! :)
I really can't imagine that. Maybe they thought they had to get an account in order to send hate mail. ;)
I don't know how many people agree, but I can't stand the new header at all. The one before it was better and I wasn't a huge fan of it. Since the site is flash based why is the nav no longer flash?
Anyway, I think the buttons are really too blan, it's just text and a gradient, the old ones had some flavor!
I think NG was about at a peak and the only changes made would inevitably bring it down. I think I was correct in my opinion.

i never said 1 million. id guess 30 to 50 million. theres a way you can figure it out based on price per user.
dude its awesome...
just a few things...
i love the new logo and banner. they rock. Tho, the buttons are a little bit...well...they dont match at all...i like the new layout but i think you need to change the style and colour of the buttons- maybe incorperate some of the aspects of the old buttons- the new oens just make it feel so outa place :( (for example, the old buttons had that rectangular look- i think using that with your new banner would look very nice)
lol, the slogan is fine. Im glad NG is growing up- makes me sad and happy at the same time. I remember when this site used to just be a hardcore teenager site...heh...now its a business- crazy eh?
anyways, awesome new look. Its gonna take a while but if it brings in more people, you should definitely do it! The whole NG team has done a wonderful job - you all deserve far more credit than your getting.
peace.

Love the new look, saying goodbye to the old header was hard for awhile but I got used to it pretty fast and I think it looks really cool.
Do you know you haven't changed the <title> tag, as it still says "The Problems of the future, today"
Heavy Vibes
The save button thing isn't working at all for me.
I've cleared my cookies and cache on firefox and still nothing, YTMND had this problem too but fixed it by making the cookie expire months ahead of time.
I dunno, i really like the new header.
it probably could do with a bit of a shrinking though
and as for the new slogan, i think it perfectly suits the sites purpose.
overall i think its a win, i think people just disslike change.
Im waiting to see the final design before i condem it.
I hate the new header.
I liked the old one better. It was so pretty.
I suggest we revert to the old one and forget this ever happened.
Newgrounds, pissing people off since 1995
i like the new save thing, it bugs the crap out of me when im trying to get my b/p up and after a while later i realize i wasnt logged in
NOBODY IS ALLOWED TO STEAL AND/OR EDIT MY SIG WITHOUT MY PERMISSION
the old system you couldnt tell if you were logged in or not, much better, now i need to find a way to get people to see my animations now theyre not in the portal.
I like The save thingy :)
The new search bar is also kinda cool. Cant wait to see the rest of the site with the new design.

I can agree with that but i still hate it >:(
Nice job guys but it's just as you said, too bland
Shot Tom man now I can read everything clearly also can add the age group down to 10 cause I was born in 1996 so I had to pretend I was thirteen just to make a profile unless it's suppost to be like that than thats fine
Lmao, what a piece of shit. The buttons are gigantic, too much orange, it takes up about 3/4 of the screen, and it hurts my eyes.
I personally think that "Problems of the Future, Today!" is just as good as it ever was. Most Newgrounds lovers have come to enjoy it as much as they enjoy the site. If I were you, I'd keep the slogan, however it is your choice.

that's a more accurate slogan since people like voting 5 on shitty entries and blam the quality ones. What? I don't even go on newgrounds shut up.

The site has just seemed to get a bit buggy. The header has a few display errors on it, and the reply to post page has suddenly gone really wierd and seems to be too big for the page width-wise. Im using Firefox 1.5 btw, and it looked fine the other day.
Heres a screenshot of the post reply page. The post icon row background is a bit screwed up, so is the message background, and the whole thing is a bit wide. Sorry for double posting, wanted to put both images on.
Heres an idea. Newgrounds- The problems of the future, today. That's a much better slogan don't you think?
I like this much better than the old layout, the buttons are clearer and i can click on them easier since my mouse is a fuck up and it shakes a lot. Nice work on the save function too.

Now, now! There's no need to rub it in his face like that. You know better than to insult him, Karl. Please use constructive critism when you answer his complaint.
