No I know about the lock down but I changed my name long ago, I wish I had known about the name change though. My old account only like level 6, I only deposit sometimes. I cannot be bothered really to level up for it as I never use it really. Although the idea of seeing the levels I passed would be cool. FC-Thun-Fan thanks for the link but the game from 2000, so it been on there for 9 years was that the right link? It may be stolen though. illwillpress just released another Foamy cartoon quite funny but quick its only January, and he has like two releases this month. Sorry I have been MIA as of late. I had what I now think is Salmoella for about a week....YUCK. As soon as this entire peanut butter business hit the news one of my co-workers pointed out that I had all the symptoms. UGH. Not pretty at all.

After recovering from that my daughter took a spill, skinned her knee and chipped one of her permanent teeth. Still dealing with that entire incident.

The portal has been slow with random spurts of crap that still passes. There's been a few good flashed mixed in.....but nothing that fantastic.

Like I said, just checking in.

Well, I hit a milestone today - reach 5,000 blams. My B/P ratio is somewhere around 1 : 2.8. Good to know some of the crud is being stopped by all our efforts.

Anyway, life goes on. Now on people will have to look for reviews for themselves, which will be good for those who only want the deity whistle and flag everything that is posted there. But those who suffer are the ones who did care for cleaning the site.

i made list having 15 to 30 abusive reviews and sometimes more

I used to post them there (sorry for not posting them here). Everyone flagged. Now, not everyone knows when a Flash is stolen. But, when we posted there, it had a higher chance of getting flagged. It doesn't anymore.

Should I point this out in the Where is/How to?

I didn't say they were wrong, it's OK, it was getting a bit annoying. Especially for mods who had extra work with those who flagged reviews that weren't abusive.

Abusive flashes can be posted here. If they pass judgment we can PM an Admin and the flash will be deleted. But it's right, less flashes will be deleted while on judgment and the admins will have extra work to do.

I think you shouldn't make a post about this, instead it would be better to PM a mod, like gumOnShoe. Otherwise they may think you're just complaining and ban you.

I'm not sure whether or not I'll be able to post it on February 1st, because I may go to Brazil, or maybe (but not so probably) Argentina, who knows... I'll have to wait to the 31st for my parents to make the decision (yeah, always it's a day earlier before we leave).

So, if I find out that I won't be here that day, I'll make the update the 31st. It wouldn't be on February, but it's better than waiting for the 15th (if I go on vacations I'll come back that day)...

I don't think you've broken any rules here - the message in this thread is still clear - we are not about the stats, we are about keeping the place clean. You are putting up helpful examples of how to use the whistle correctly.

We've all got to remember this important lesson, as while we may have transgressed in the past, we are going about our business as normal people at the moment. We can only carry on voting on each flash as we find it and then if we do find abusive ones, use the whistle responsibly.

Well, I think Rage's thread was going bad. It used to be filled with people who knew there stuff. But recently all these people seemed to have gone and there were lots of people just posting things which weren't abusive. I was always quite a conservative flagger and only flagged things that were textbook abusive. I guess we're just going to have to do our flagging the old fashioned way.

I think one thing which is positive is that it will give the deity whistle the status it deserves again. I mean nowadays alot of people have it. It's not easy to tell who deserves it anymore. Especially in the days when Rage's thread had good users, who only posted really abusive stuff, any idiot could get deity.

I also feel maybe I should have carried on posting long lists in the thread, because maybe the people joining just didn't have enough good examples.

It's sad to see Rage's go, as if you look at my early posts almost the first 10 ages of them are exclusively in that thread. I suppose it may be for the best, the thread was beginning to stagnate a bit. Not only had the quality (by which I mean how abusive they were) of abusive reviews dropped significantly, but I remember only 6 months ago when I was a regular visitor/poster there that I'd go to bed, wake up in the morning, and find that 3 or 4 more pages had been added. Recently it seemed to only go up a page every day or two, if even that.

It's just a matter of getting on with things I suppose. We'll need to be much more wary of abuse, particularly as mentioned with regard to UJ flashes. But regardless of how much of a pity it is, there's no use dwelling on it too much.

I agree. I think every member of the Barracks should see it as their duty to browse the new submissions for abusive reviews after they pass judgment. This is probably the best way we can fight abuse now.

Rage's thread was a mixed blessing; a person could get a lot of whistle points in and mods could get rid of abusive reviews while playing with their dicks, but then some one could post only 1 or 2 abusive reviews or say "thanks", and get the post +1.

Hey, some one was running around and finding these abusive reviews and posting them there; why can't you?

I have to say that it was the first thread i started poting in the Wi/Ht forums. I can say i have posted well over 200 times in that thread and with out it and some of the people who regularly post in that thread helped me understand the whistle much better than i did before i knew about it. It may be the only reason i got my delity whistle, as i got my delity whisle i really stoped posting in there and its been months since i have been active there.

But as that goes in my opinion people will not be getting delity whistles as common as they became so it can be a good thing because it can become much more work getting it now and make the users who have it a elite group. Well it was going to hell after the past months so i am sad to see it gone, but happy that i still have this place to help flag abbusive flashes.

Thanks for the posts looking at the last few pages I did see a lots of one line posts only to one link. I guess people did use to post more links, Kaytee posted lots of links sadly lots were ancient reviews. Its still very sad to see it die but it did get warnings wonder, why gumOnShoe decided to lock it for good though? One bad thing was people making abusive reviews with there alts just to get whistle points. Although that had been going on for a long time anyway. Maybe this will be better as you say having diety will be more special now. I still flag reviews and I did lots yesterday. Malachy done a useful thread its a shame still as you say you can still report stuff here. Well I'm looking at Malachy thread its quiet though on WI/HT.

As you can see from the last post his account deleted again, finding the lock on Rage's thread sad its maybe had its day but I still wish they would make another new one, like a user had suggested.
