Perhaps the introduction of crazy Clock Day-only rules would make it better...something like NO POINTS ON CLOCK DAY COUNT, or ONLY BLAMS COUNT, SO YOU CAN MASS-SAVE BUT FUCK YOUR PROTECT POINTS (UNLESS IT WINS AN AWARD, IN WHICH CASE YOU GET LIKE, TEN POINTS, WOW)...I don't know.
But if only blams count, many people would just vote 0 on everything, and maybe even good submissions would get blammed.
At least, I think that the score that submissions get in clock day shouldn't change the batting average. Because many people could have a high BA just because they submitted something in Clock day, even if it was a shitty flash.

Welcome to the new recruit, heh. Next time I'll be sure to catch the recruit myself...I gotta stop obsessing about my Pokemon fanfiction... XD
You barely missed him. :P This recruit went by so fast I didn't even have time to read everyone else's opinion on him, which we usually have time for with other people.
:D
Now watch me get executed by my readers for saying such a blasphemous thing.
Also, OH GOD WHY WAS CLOCK DAY MENTIONED?
Because we were talking about Portal Mods and how people have been complaining about spam/think that Portal Mods are necessary. I just thought what happens if they do bring in portal mods? We get rid of Clock Day also? Or at least change it so people don't submit spam on Clock Day? I just don't see Portal Mods as the way to go, but if they choose it so let it be.
Well, maybe not portal mods which can decide what stays in the site and what not, but maybe something like in the Audio Portal would be useful. You know, the mods would have to approve people's first submissions. Although people may later start spamming the portal...
And what about portal bans for spammer? If someone spams too much (something like 5+ spam submissions in a row) they will get a portal ban for some time, so they can't submit anything. And if after several bans they still submit a lot of spam, they would be perma-banned.
Maybe it's not the greatest idea, but it could work :/

Actually once a month not a bad idea for the roster, at least you don't feel the pressure to get it done every week.
Sure, but if I'm going to wait a whole month for a Roster update, I want it more fancy than fancy pants, with all sorts of pointless stats.
I agree, If i have to wait that long for a update here i want it to be similar to some of the nglog stats that mean nothing but look cool. I still think once a week is better, i could never wait for a entire month to see how my stats have changed on this list.
Mm... What kind of fancy stats? Maybe the B/P ratio would be useless enough...
:)
