Sir i just got my first ever ban for reviews for three days. I was so shocked i got a ban because i gave it o out of 10, as it did not work . I did not know that was aginnst the rules can someone tell me when you know when its ok to review again. Its typical to get one now when i just joined the review request club
Interesting...I can't really field this one, as I'm not that experienced with review flagging myself. The nuances of the rules still escape me, so someone else might be better to field that question than me.

Hey guys, just thought I'd report that edd900 who just recently tried to join us has created two very similar threads to this. I've reported it to ramagi so hopefully it'll be cleared up soon.
Interesting. Can't say it hasn't happened before, though. Let's just say a good percentage of locked clubs in C&C were called the "Safety Patrollers" or something similar. In fact, the reason ramagi didn't like us at first is because we spawn a lot of those groups, and it certainly kept her busy...

As far as the podcast thing goes, I'd possibly be interested in getting involved in that - although there are one or two issues ATM, namely that my current daily-usage computer (a Mac mini) has no in-built mic, and I don't have one I can plug in, so I'd have to wait until either I get my old laptop fixed or I get a new laptop. Also, you guys would have to be able to deal with my british accent ;P
Well, first off, British accents are just fine. :-) But either way, once you get a mic (the cheapo non-powered ones don't work in the mic port, so you'll have to get a USB headset or mic), you'll be welcomed on. I want to get the forums up and running first, though. That'll take me a bit of time. After that, my Mac will be ready and available for podcasting.
Hopefully if EagleRock can sort us out some shiny new forums with a more NG-like theme, then people will be happier to post there. Communication between members is really important, so the more we associate with and talk to each other, the stronger a group we will be. What's the point in having a group full of strangers?
Agreed fully. That's why I want to take the time and put the effort through. I feel it'll be worth it.
That being said, I made a thread in our forums about EGB members getting AIM, in the interest of being more communicative with one another. If you haven't already, bookmark that link to our forums so you always have it and thus can visit it more often.
Or, if you're lazy like me, just click the link in my sig. :-)

Hey guys, just checking in.
OH HAI - I CAN HAZ CHEEZBURGER PLZ? KTHX
I'm liking this podcast idea, I'd like to see (or help) it develop.
Anyone we can gather is fine. I'll set a time once I get more time and we can flesh it out. I usually record for about 60-75 minutes, which is plenty of material for the full podcast. I can cut out the pauses and the BRB's and all that crap, then add my little stuff. In case anyone wants to know, here's the format I use:
Intro Song/Blurb (1 min or so)
My Blurb (5 mins or so)
Barracks News with all attending members - (15-25 mins)
Intermission featuring song from Audio Portal - (3-5 mins)
Barracks Discussion with all attending members - (15-25 mins)
Outro Song/Blurb (1 min or so)
My own blurb I didn't have fleshed out yet. The one I used for the first episode was just introducing the podcast. I'll probably have my own quick rants or whatever in it. The part I actually record with everyone else listening to is the Barracks News and Discussion segments. The News section is all about current events on NG, whereas the Discussion is about certain topics that we pick beforehand. Last episode was all about mass-voting and how to stop it, and about how to vote fairly and all that. This time, I'd probably choose something a bit more interesting to mix it up, but still keep it in the grain of NG.
I'm going to be getting AIM soon, so I can communicate with the leaders here more often.
Glad to hear it!

What exactly is the Portal Guard and how is it used, anyway? I've been away and out of touch with this stuff, but surely it's important.
Well, Pancakes named it wrong, as it's actually Portal Watch. Portal Guard is a real thing, tho...it's a program that alerts you when new flash come on the Portal (so you don't need to refresh or anything). You can find it at Denvish's Site. As far as Portal Watch, it's a group of NG members that Wade appointed to have direct contact with him about flagging bad flash. You can read the thread that started it here.
Right now there are five Portal Watch members in the Barracks (that I know about). If you find something breaking the rules, and enters the Portal (like a bait-and-switch, stolen, spam, whatever), you can alert us and get the info to Wade. It has gotten rid of bad Flash a heckuva lot quicker than before, and prevents stuff from getting through the cracks.
Well, I have a wedding to go to tomorrow, so I need sleep. DEFCON's staying at DEFCON 4 (even before, it was only active for a little bit), so sleep tight!
