I believe no point, as it hasn't actually been Blammed, just removed. But it's something to check up on if you want to be 100% sure.

I think you actually do get the Blam... At least, I know you get the point if it's Wade who removes it (like that time with the Afro_Stud movie, or the sQueef deletion), so why would it be any different if it's the author who gets rid of it?

You are more than welcome to resurrect it (as there is no way I am active enough to do something like that at the moment), either with your own competition or taking some of my ideas. It doesn't take too long really... I was thinking of adding some more columns to this update, but I didn't want it to be too similar to Tuesday's B/P roster, so I kept it simple.

No job right now, I'm about to graduate from university and the very idea of having MORE work to do makes me want to jump from a very high place... My student loan and the money I earned last year on placement has been enough to survive on this year, come the Summer I'll need a real job though. My girlfriend lives a good 500 miles away, which sucks frankly. We make it work simply because of how much we love each other, but we don't see each other all that often. Less of a distraction from uni work at least (and we'll be doing something about that distance in the not too distant future).

Big congrats there. I can't help but think we would still be neck and neck if I didn't stop for the time I did.

Thanks, you'd probably be ahead to be honest, I've slowed down an awful lot since the good old days when we were fighting it out. Just ticking over at around 20-30 a week, rather than the crazy weeks we used to pull.

Summer is actually the primary time for me to B/P. Not just because of the time off, but most of my friends go away for most of it. It's going to be sad since this is going to be the last summer I see most of them again due to the fact we are all moving to different states.

That's understandable. I'm sure college is a lot of work. Something I'll be experiencing first hand soon. I couldn't stand living that far away from my girlfriend. I also doubt it would last. If I don't see her for long periods of time I'm sure the connection we have now would shortly fade away. You guy must have a tight bond. I wonder what your plans are for getting closer to her.

The work load wasn't too bad in the first couple of years, but final year is relentless. I suspect American colleges are a little worse with the workload as well, so you will no doubt be busy!

It does show how close we are that we can put up with it (though it is certainly hard in the times we don't see each other). We make an effort to see each other about once a month (though at the moment we are in the middle of a 6 week gap due to my exams/coursework). What it does mean is the time we get together is extra special though, and it has made us closer than we would have been if we'd seen each other every day.

And no wedding bells yet :P. As I'm graduating I'll have the freedom to move anywhere I want (so long as I can get a job there!) and as she is a nurse she can get work anywhere as well. Right now we're looking at one or the other of us moving by the end of the year, and then who knows... ;)

The activity roster was definitely a good idea, just look at all the people here who don't regularly post. This was a very clever and well needed way to keep the barracks an active place. If no one posts and this thread happens to meander along all the way to the second page, that isn't good for our prestigious image.

On another note, I don't really know how active I will be this summer. I'm goin to Alaska for two weeks, I'll be a junior counselor at a camp, I have friends visiting from Texas, I'm going to a jazz camp (I'm a fairly good alto saxophone player for those of you who don't know (which would be everyone XD)), so yeah the bottom line is I'll try to be as active as possible of course, but I should be around and free on clock day thankfully.

I agree with this idea. We could definitely petition Wade to implement this idea. For a team of portal mods, they would need to be fairly objective and unbiased to so called "spam groups" so every movie receives a fair trial as it were. Also they would need to be fairly active as well.

It is really sad that submission passed, we really do need a moderation team. But I guess they are saving that as a last resort, looking at all their options before resorting to that. We should just wait and see if Wade's town watch will help out at all or if he will get annoyed with all the IMs. But IMO we do really need a Portal Moderation team.

Possibly. It would be a great idea, and I know that the idea of portal mods has been floating around for ages now - I seem to recall even before the redesign there was talk of it.

Still, it's fair play that the programmers have their work cut out... I imagine there's a lot for them to be getting on with right now without new ideas being put forwards all the time. Jim told me that there are still problems to be ironed out from the redesign, so there's obviously a large backlog of work to be completed.

Still, good idea, hope to see it implemented one day soon.

OK, not everyone, I know there are people who actually care about it and aren't looking for the moderator status, but a great deal of them are looking for it.

Why doesn't Wade just create the Portal mods and end this thing once and for all?

If I was able to be active, I would totally sign up for that...

I still think that Portal mods would be a better idea...an official group of people capable of handling this shit, instead of having to pester Wade on AIM. But anything that helps is a good step.
