Aside from a single 90 yard TD play from the Packers (Favre to Driver), Green Bay struggled on offense; during the 3rd quarter, the network showed a stat - "1 play - 90 yards; 26 other plays - 91 yards". But with the Giants missing 2 game winning field goals, the game went into overtime. There, the Giants intercepted Bret on the first play (outside of kickoff) of the OT, then drove down to the 20 yard line, giving Tynes a 36 yard chance at redemption. And he found redemption, and a ticket to Arizona for the Super Bowl.At 1/20/08 10:24 PM, TheThing wrote:

The Giants played alright... not great by any means. 2 missed field goals to top it off? Can't be doing that in the Super Bowl, pals.
Hey, you try kicking a field goal to let your team into the Super Bowl in -5 degree weather, with a wind chill of -24.
Also, see what I wrote about the Giants in the "New York Giants" thread in General.
And Viper, don't be so hard on APF and his Jets; I mean, they did have one of their best years in recent history....LMAO. True, true. 4-12 is great for them. But ManGenius still has a very LONG way to live up to THAT nickname. Why they call him that I do not know.
Last year, when they went 10-6. But other than that, the Jets have been a train wreck.
Who thinks Favre will retire this year? It's impossible to tell these days. He never actually does it, but you KNOW he wants to.
I don't think so, but then again, he has a way of surprising everyone about his career.
