I'll try. Yes, it is slow, btw, but there are a lot of threats. I've seen plenty that look like they were mass-voted and at least two whistle-worthy flash today, so the threat level is high, even for a slow Portal. Otherwise, I'd make it DEFCON 4.

Actually he was right on this one, DEFCON 1 is the highest level, with 5 the lowest. Not that there is any evidence to change it from the level 3 that Eagle set it at earlier (speaking of which only Eagle and anyone else designated can change the DEFCON).

This 'attack' is a hoax. It was due last night, it never happened, and even if it did happen there is NOTHING we can do about it. As such I don't want to hear any more talk about it in here. There was a forum specifically set up to discuss this, and if you want to go on pursuing these false rumors then go there and knock yourselves out. Talking about it here is putting the whole place at risk. We do not support attacking groups, and we do not support mass voting, even mass voting on submissions that are part of an attack. We remain neutral, and protect the portal by remaining fair.

I've just had a good look at your site Andrea, and what you are doing is firmly against NG rules. You are promoting mass voting, which is everything this club stands against, and I've also seen posts promoting the spamming of SS members, and attacks against whole groups. The reason why the NG thread was locked was because it was against the rules, on top of being badly set up and being spammed to death. I mean, it is obvious this is against NG rules, it isn't even borderline.

To squidly- I've read over your forums fairly comprehensively now, and although you seem to be going along the right lines there are still definite things that we don't agree on here in the Barracks. I know I pointed some of these out in a PM. Either way, I don't mind if you go and do what you want in this other forum, but you can't come here and virtually take over. You are not a member here- you need to work your way up to the correct rank, and even then you have to post with some degree of intelligence. We don't allow one line posts from members, let alone non members. As such I ask that you stop posting here- I don't do so in anger, I just want you to respect our rules here.

To Andrea- I'm sorry that I snapped at you, and having looked at your forums you are at least trying to point them in the right direction. You have to keep better control of them there, I spotted at least three posts that suggested mass voting, and also one form squidly in the news post about spamming and attacking SS members in an 'all out war', For the time being your future is under discussion here, but I have since suggested a short suspension rather than being discharged. Should we agree on that I want you to keep this rebellion stuff out of here- I know your heart is in the right place, but we just don't want to be associated with something so controversial, and that can be seen as against the rules.

The problem is, she's tried EVERYTHING that EVERY doctor has told her, so a lot of it probably counter acts some stuff. If she would cut out some of her medications, she'd probably be better off. BUT! My grandmother is gullible. Seriously. I love the woman, but she'll believe anything. She wants to try accupuncture. Now if any of you know anything about me, I'm a big skeptic. I haven't seen one decent shred of evidence that proves accupuncture actually works. It's bullshit. It's a pseudoscience designed to part gullible grandmas away from their hard-earned money (my grandmother still works). I can't let her do this shit. I know some of you are probably dumb enough to believe in accupuncture and all that hollistic shit, but you don't have a grandmother in pain like mine. Seriously. I did everything I could under the circumstance, and I wasn't encouraging it- I made two posts asking for it to stop, and contacted a mod as soon as possible. Sadly without the power to ban people there is nothing more I can do than ask people to stop,and if that fails yell at them. Sadly that was largely ignored. Actually there is plenty of evidence that acupuncture can help a great deal with pain in the muscles and joints. It acts as a relaxant, and from personal experience I can say it did wonders with the back pain I used to suffer from. It might be an idea to give it a chance.

I find it to be alittle painful to watch somebody hve it done but not having it had done to myself i can't speak from having been through it all. But anyway.....I have managed to deposit everyday but my b/p points are suffering severly and i probably wont reach my next rank for a while if i keep at this pace. But i am graduating Friday so i have been busy with all that stuff and really havent had time for anything else.

Looking back at the post I made yesterday, showing my stat gains over the last year, it is a bit deceptive. Between that deposit and the next one in October (a full 5 months) I made just 1000 B/P points. Everyone has periods when they can't B/P- it is a big commitment to keep going at it for a long period of time. I'm sure you will get back to it when life is a little less hectic, and you'll be refreshed from the break. B/P gets very dull after a while.

Plus another reminder that my third REVIEW CHALLENGE is up and running- that kind of got lost in today's chaos. To ILC- try and get your marks for the last round back to me when you can, but there is no rush. If you have any problems PM me.

It depends how much you are hurting to begin with I guess. My back was in all sorts of trouble, so sticking a few needles in it really didn't make much difference (I blame it on rugby)- but it did help the pain go away. Though as Snerd said that may be as much to with mentally thinking you are getting better as anything actually happening.

I haven't been on the portal much today because I've been busy, but it seems to be doing okay considering what time it is. My goal for today is 3600. I probably won't make it, though, because I have so much going on tonight. As long as I can make my goal for Tuesday, I think I should be fine.
