I do not know if Dream-of-Duke's expulsion is permanent. That is up to Phantom and Sir EagleRock to decide. Although in one of his last posts he stated that he was glad he wasn't a member here anymore. Which sounds highly undoubtful he'll want to be a member here again.

Oops! I just found that post by him. The EGB is a great place but phantom is too strict a leader and he would never want to be a member again etc.. so on and so fourth. Nevermind then. Guess I was gone for a long time and missed all the drama. I suppose thats a good thing though.

Hi! Happy St Pattys to everyone as well. Also changed to green for the occasion. I had an extremely busy day at work but I made up for it in b/p. According to NG Log I racked up over 190 today. I wish every day was that busy. It was literally non stop after work till about 2 hours ago.

6-7 inches of snow. I like snow every now and then but it gets old pretty fast. I haven't seen snow in over a year. You're not gonna hear any complaints from me. :)

A bunch of my buddies went out tonight but I'm coming down with a nasty cold. I'm also supposed to go to a race on Sunday but probably won't make that. Monday I'm suppposed to fly ...hopefully I'll still be sick and I won't have to.

Barracks Idea!

Ok I am going to ask you all a question. I would like honest feedback! No sucking up!

It has to do with the updates which as you know I am in charge of.

Here is my idea. Note: This is not the idea I was talking about before. This is completely new and I am not sure if you would like it or not so I will run it by you all first.

What do you think of having some sort of points system in the updates?

Here is how it would work.

You start off with 0 points.

Ways to gain points:

Being in the top 5 gainers link.

1st : +5 points.
2nd : +4 points.
3rd : +3 points.
4th : +2 points.
5th : +1 point.

Getting to 2000, 3000, 4000 total b/p points and so on : +1 point.

Averaging over 100 points per day : +3 points.

Reporting a stolen/malicious/unsuitable movie and being correct : +1 point.

These are ideas I have now but I am sure that I will think of some others later, it depends on whether you would like this feature added.

So basically you can earn points and the top 3 point earners will be at the top of the update each week. It would carry on over weeks so you could end up with over 100 points after a few weeks.

So now its up to you, Tell me if you like it, Give me some ideas if you want, Feedback people!

Yeah, that was certainly an interesting couple of days. I think you are right that DoDs motives were in the right place, but he made a mistake that we just couldn't forgive, and then handled the aftermath extremely badly. The less said about it the better to be honest. As things stand I think we left it with a re-eval on the cards if he went out and posted well on the forums, but I'm not sure he wants to come back. He certainly took it very poorly and made a few personal attacks against members etc...

Plus you'll find that the same people always get points, especially in the updates, and there is also a danger of multiple people posting the same posts for whistleable flash as they hurry to post it.

A good idea, and it's nice to see people trying to suggest improvements for the Barracks, but I like it just the way it is :)

Ok, Ive taken all of your advice and I will not be adding the points list idea to the next update. I did realise it has flaws ever since I thought of it but I also thought it would get some of those "not so dedicated EGB members" to help more out around the place and to get some healthy competition going. I know the point system would really serve no purpose as there would be no prizes but I thought it would be a little bit of fun and also something you could wear with pride. Clearly this is not wanted around the EGB and I am ok with that. It was just an idea.

My guess is that some entries that were flagged some time ago were cleared, and Denvish was still actively B/Ping then and so has now got the points. He'll probably request to have the points removed or something, he won't want to ruin all those pretty zeros! The same situation is probably true with Ramagi. If they were really B/Ping they'd be getting far more points than that, that's for sure.

And just a quick note to say I got hit by an auto pop-up submission a minute ago that crashed my laptop (I think it was trying to mass pop-up last measure, but my laptop froze before I could tell). There may be more around, so be careful with suspicious looking submissions.

Ah that makes sence. It must have taken the mods a long time to clear those flagged submissions! It doesnt look as good now that he has 100,002. I hope he does get them removed. As for Ramagi, I think she has been b/ping a tiny little bit. I dont think 54 movies have just been unflagged. Although I could be wrong.

Thanks for the heads up. I remember when I opened one of them a while ago. It opened about 60 windows before I could manage to close the submission. Alt+f4 is a good way to close them all again or you can just shutdown. Lucky for me I have a fast computer so it didnt crash.

Yeah I couldn't find it at first too. I usually use google to find stolen movies and when that fails I just search newgrounds using keywords. In this case I simply searched newgrounds for 'cannon' and scrolled through the list till I found it. Even if you don't find the original a profile with utter nonsense and no website for credit of the movie is a pretty good indicator that it's stolen. Though I won't post something unless I'm 100% or at least pretty damned sure of it.

And yes I just got the bat tonight. I like the bat! :)
