i have to agree with you sir. and might i add, the bb only puts crap in the portal, not the bbs. well, maybe not all the time but they concentrate on the portal. and he's a well rounded user in the bbs, it seems. so i think that we should give him a chance. and like you said, he meets the criteria for the barracks.

Well they certainly dont help us but rather make our task much more difficult. So if enemies is what comes to mind when you read barney bunch, so be it.

But our Barracks evaluate every single individual EQUALLY no matter who they are.

Ofcourse, wesdood was equal but then he began submitting BB flashes so thats when he decided to harm NG. Think of it like a criminal they are equal until they commit a crime but after they get a criminal record etc they are not equal. Well since he is a member of the BB he is commiting crimes (figure of speech), so he loses those rights.

The only condition for a person to quality for our Barracks is that he/she needs at least 1500 b/p points.

At this time the only qualifications is to require Elite Guard Private, but that was set sometime in the first 10 pages. I doubt anyone suspected someone who is trying to harm NG to join a club that is trying to help NG. This was unexpected.

I believe that BB people can join us if he qualifies the b/p number.

In addition, I believe that he will be a good soldier if he decides to be with us when he qualifies.

I doubt he will benefit NG or the Barracks.

There you go, wesdood has been active on the BBS for quite awhile but only recently joined the BB. His posts arnt perfect nor does he attack other users on the BBS so for his posting behaviour I am satisfied for now.

I see that I have a decision to make, soldiers. I have reviewed everyone's ideas, and believe that some of you have come up with good ideas.

First off, I would like to announce that the person in question is NOT a Barracks Member at this point. Too much evidence has been put on the plate by credible Barracks Members that have put our confidence of him in question. However, I would like to make my stance on this individual clear: we are not passing judgement on him yet.

As I am sure you all know, I try to lead the Barracks in the way that makes everybody happy. This is a difficult goal at times, but I believe we can work this out to give this person a fair opportunity.

I am going to create the official voting thread. However, the thread is classified. I ask all Barracks Members (and I would allow the NGPD to vote, as I value their input) about this matter.

This is the official way to vote on this to make sure everyone is accounted for and everyone can vote in anonymity. Please follow the following steps:

- If you are not currently registered in the Barracks Forums, please do so immediately. Indeed, if you haven't yet, you are missing a lot, as you are unable to see our confidential material.
- Wait for me to give you clearance to our confidential location. From there you will be able to vote.
- Cast your vote in the official voting thread and do not post a reply.
- Personal Message me (PM icon on the top right of the forum) and let me know that you have voted.
- Please make sure you vote ONLY ONCE and allow everyone to properly vote.

I consider this a very important decision and will go with the majority. However, as others have said, if I must, I will make a judgement call based on my feeling towards the matter. However, I will do what I feel is best for the Barracks, and highly value the members' opinions on the matter.

Everyone will regret something theve posted one time or another but the situaition regarding wesdood is current and is happening now, he is a member of the BB now.

I imagine the reason the portal is so slow lately is because it's the first couple of weeks back from Christmas Vacation for people, and teachers have a bad habit of piling homework on students the first day back. Why, in the first day, my Honors English teacher alerted me to a research report and a small project we'd have to show significant progress on by the end of the month, and that's not counting finishing Upton Sinclair's The Jungle within the month. :/

I think it is incremental. The only "jump" in VP you get is from your B/P rank.

Incidentally, I feel I need to clarify something, as a Barracks member PMed me today and addressed the issue.

The Barracks as of late has been showing heavy anti-BB sentiment. You all know that we are not an anti-Barney Bunch group, and I wanted to clarify that before we go too overboard with the idea.

We are not an anti-BB group, we are an anti-FILESWAP group. Do not confuse the two. When the Barney Bunch sumbits their flash outside of the guise of fileswapping, there is nothing wrong with that. They are entitled to sumbit their flash just like any other group. The only reason that the Barracks is trying to combat the Barney Bunch at this point is purely based on their fileswapping practices.

Please do not get confused and become anti-Barney Bunch, as that is not what this Barracks is about. Every flash, be it Barney Bunch or no, is allowed a fair judgement on the Portal. Vote as you wish, as long as you charge yourself to vote fair. Fileswapping can be dealt with in a different way.

I hope I made myself clear about this matter and hope that my fellow Barracks members will agree. I would hate to have the Barracks get a bad image or even get locked because we have turned into an anti-Barney Bunch group. We are better than that.

I agree. When they submit their stuff straight up, I vote fairly (although fairly is almost always a blam vote, lol). There have even been a couple BB flashes I have given protection votes on! There are at least a few of them capable of making decent flash. It's only fileswapping that we should be empathically against, as the typical crap they submit is typically taken care of by the NG population.
