We get one every now and again. There were a couple of blammed KK movies the other day (just). So long as people keep voting fairly things will slowly turn in our favour. The only reason people don't vote fairly is for the points- if they stop getting them then they'll stop being such stat whores.

Yep, People dont realise that they can change it around by just voting fair. They have created the problem and they can fix it. Its so simple.

It's cool that you're into tennis- I've been playing for 10 years or so, although I never had any training and haven't really played competitively. I'm actually a badminton player at heart- I even played county in the UK for a while, so tennis tends to ruin my game, hence not playing it as much as I would like. Whilst in the States though I plan on getting into a tennis club and improving, as badminton isn't really played here.

Wow, me and you have a lot in common. We both like the colour Orange too. Any other similaritys? The good thing about tennis is that it gives you the coordination to be good at other sports as well. Badminton, Baseball, Cricket, Softball......The list goes on and on.

Wow, that's short, and errr... to the point. Please try and put a little more effort into your posts in future. I'm good thanks- I've had a good day training down at the pool and tidying my dump of an apartment up a bit, and for the last hour I've been chilling out watching 'Planes, Trains and Automobiles' whilst browsing the good ol' BBS. The film was actually bought for me by my Dad at Christmas following my adventure getting home for the holidays. It brought back some bad memories :).

Yup, it really is as simple as that. As much as it would be nice to believe it, the spam groups aren't big enough to simply mass vote things through- they give it a push in the right direction, for sure, but it's regular users who want the points that get it over the edge. If everyone just voted fairly the problem would go away.

Wow, me and you have a lot in common. We both like the colour Orange too. Any other similaritys? The good thing about tennis is that it gives you the coordination to be good at other sports as well. Badminton, Baseball, Cricket, Softball......The list goes on and on.

I don't know, what else are you into? :) The coordination skills are very true- I played cricket and softball for school over the years, and I'm good at any racket sports I try my hand at. Badminton is clearly my best sport, but I'm a decent tennis player, and I'm good at squash as well. I even spent a few years playing field hockey for my school, so hand eye coordination is one of my strengths.

lol, Well that explains it! Thanks.

It sure does- it may not have any purpose, but I know how good it feels to know someone has read your review and appreciated it. I often browse through my reviews to see if I have any positive feedback :)

Wow, thats really not a good combination of things to have. I havent experienced that feeling before but I probably will come Year 11-12.

Oh man, you should enjoy being in the10th grade because the ones that follow after it, 11th and 12th, are much more time requiring and difficult indeed. But if you do all your work and study etc., you'll do fine. :)

That in my books is not a lot of sleep. If it wasnt for Newgrounds I would probably get at least 9 hours of sleep on school days and 10 hours sleep on the weekend. Lol, I like me sleep.

9 or 10 hours of sleep? You lazy bum! Be glad you're an active member of Newgrounds, because if you wouldn't have been, you'd occasionly be scolded at! :) That is, if you have strict parents. :D

No coffee? I have never heard of someone staying awake on gatorade.

Nah, I don't drink gatorade to stay awake nor coffee. I drink, uhh, umm, nevermind. :)

"Oh no, dont through your"........................"hey, whats that bunny doing there?"..............."Oh my GOD!"

Too late! Muahaha!

Sounds to me like that bunny is some sort of spy looking over the barracks, I think I should finish it off Powerade.

Yes, he must be a spy. It sounds interesting to me Phantom didn't kill his ass though. Maybe he was feeling forgiving.

Note: I found out his name was Fred.

*Throws Powerade at bunny, Bunny dodges it and takes a sip of it. Bunny suddenly becomes charged with energy and bolts away. "Huh, That stuff really does work!"*

For a second there, I thought he was going to turn into a Bunny Hulk. 0_0

Dammit, Why must I be the clueless one?

Because you just are. Live with it, you bum! >:)

Congratulations in advance on your new badge, You seem to get a new one every day!

Thanks for the congratulations! If I were to acquire a badge a day, I would be an Elite Guard Supreme Commander in 8 days. XD

Also, Congrats on making the top 300 list. I guess there will be little need for you to look at the EGB update from now on!

Thanks. The Elite Guard Barrack's roster update is still important to me so I will never find it useless. Perhaps, I should enjoy the mistakes you will make in them in the future. Ha, kidding with you, mate. :)

TIME TO TALK ABOUT ME!

Ha, congratulations on defeating the other teams. You guys must be pretty good to win against other schools. Nice Job! :D

Well, as with my explanation of snooker a few months back, here is a quick lowdown of squash and cricket, for the penguin too lazy to use google :)

Squash: a sport played with a racket as you correctly guessed, and a small, rubber ball (about the size of a golf ball- you know what that is right? :p). The ball has very limited bounce (depending on type and temperature)- much less than a tennis ball. It is played in a square room with high walls, and the aim is to hit the ball against the front wall in turn, allowing just one bounce as in tennis. The skill comes in playing it close to the side walls so as to make it hard to hit, and playing it off multiple walls to confuse your opposition. It is very fast paced and tiring sport when played well.

Cricket: a true English gentleman's sport (they even have a tea break!). Played either with a limited set of overs (series of 6 balls) over the course of one day, or two innings each, for up to five days. Teams consist of 11 players, with usually a group of specialist batsmen, specialist bowlers, and a wicket keeper. Every member of the team bats, but inly a select few tend to bowl, while the rest field (just like baseball). The object for the batting team is to hit the ball (hard and again similar to a baseball) and run between the two wickets to score points (or runs)- two batsmen are in the field at any one time and run in opposite directions. The bowling team are trying to get the whole side out by catching, bowling (hitting the wicket), lbw (getting the batsman to block a good ball with his legs- leg before wicket), run out (same as baseball- hitting the wicket while the batsman is running and short of the 'crease') or stumping (similar to run out, except it is when the batsman has moved too far forwards in playing a shot and the wicket keeper has 'stumped' him).

That is about as simple an explanation I can give- cricket is famed for being complicated and having many stupid names (googly, yorker, golden duck to name a few...). Just think of it as baseball, but with two bases and a bat that you swing near your legs rather than up in the air.

You do spend a lot of time here. Go to sleep, will you? Playing with ya, Sentio, buddy! :D

What is this sleep thing you speak of?

Well, what can I say? PenguinLink was too lazy and too tired to use Google! XD But I assume your explanations are just as detailed and precise as if I were to searh for the information. :)

Squash: a sport played with a racket as you correctly guessed, and a small, rubber ball (about the size of a golf ball- you know what that is right? :p).

I know what game you're talking about! :D Yes, I recognize it from your description. Although I have never had the chance to play it, it indeed looks tiresome. XD And yes, I know what a golfball is. Its shape is similar with that of a football, right? :D

That is about as simple an explanation I can give- cricket is famed for being complicated and having many stupid names (googly, yorker, golden duck to name a few...). Just think of it as baseball, but with two bases and a bat that you swing near your legs rather than up in the air.

Ok, I see what you mean now. But, Cricket? Maybe this name was given because maybe the players would smash crickets whilist they swung the bat too close to the ground. And, uhh, Googly was given because many people didn't know what the sport was all about so they yelled at the people wanting to know: "Googly it!" Yorker became a name for it because many people from New York played it and Golden Duck was given because my relative, Babe Ruth the Duck was a star at this game so they called him Golden Duck. :D

What is this sleep thing you speak of?

What? Are you too lazy as well to googly it? :D

Hey everyone! EG Sergent Zornkatzu, here! (or Mitsubishi, if you'd prefer)

You guys have probably seen this on the General Forum. Its got be a little concerned:

Well, I hope everyone here is familiar with the *chans (4chan, 7chan, 420chan, etc.) by now, considering the rest of the internets are either fans or victims of their raids. It's been floating around on some *chans that in 13 days (the 17th) they plan to raid the Newgrounds BBS and main site.

Here is a link to the post made in the General Forum. Here is the original post from 420chan.

In other news, I recently submitted a new flash onto Newgrounds, and I was hoping you could check it out.

If this "Chan Attack" does occur, I'd be honored to take up the fight with you all once again.

Signing off,

EG Sergent Zornkatzu

It is indeed- my grandfather passed away three weeks ago so I know how it feels. Having said that the situation was a bit different for me as I wasn't able to attend the funeral and I guess it hasn't really sunk in yet as I haven't been home and seen my family. We're scattering his ashes in the Summer when I get back so it will probably hit hard then. Funerals are never an easy thing to go through.

At 3/4/07 04:40 PM, Zornkatzu wrote: Hey everyone! EG Sergent Zornkatzu, here! (or Mitsubishi, if you'd prefer)

Wow, long time no see! It's good to see you back, even if only temporarily!

I had seen that, although frankly I'm not overly concerned. This is a well run and well moderated website and any attack will be over very quickly. I'm sadly going to be in Boston on the 17th, so I'll miss all the fun, so be sure to fill me in once the event is over :)

I've been out walking the streets of Denver this afternoon- I think I covered about 15 miles over a five hour period. That has caused me to miss some 20 or 30 submissions, but I was enjoying the sunshine so much I don't really care :). I also found a bar that will be showing the mighty Plymouth in action next Sunday, so I won't be around for much then either.

Meh, I'm not too worried. And it doesn't appear any of the other users are worried either. If it's like any other of the "raids," it shouldn't last long. Especially since most of the mods have been warned beforehand.

I looked a bit further into the Channer "raid." As you guys said, it will likely be another regular day on the Portal, only with greater traffic.

I do have 1 main concern, however. The *Chans have, in the past, used viruses and other malware in their raids. This means that simply trying to blam them may result in infection.

Anyway, I will probably be active on Newgrounds and in the Barracks for at least the next couple of weeks, what with March Break coming up.

you are way too optimistic in my view. As far as I'm concerned it's never a good enough pace. Good some one here is optimistic.

140 Points a day is an average I can't imagine I'll ever get.

Actually it was 143 for 1,000 in one week, which is of course the legendary star pace.

Yes, I tend to view things in an optimistic point of view. :) You are really doing good, Phantom. Especially if you are busy as you say you are. An example of a poor average or pace would be to obtain approximately 15 B/P Points or less in a day. Your pace in my view is good enough to be praised for. :)

Actually it was 143 for 1,000 in one week, which is of course the legendary star pace.

That, indeed, is a monstrous pace. :O

Not that bad, but I can do better.

Thanks for the list, Sterockicy. You did an awesome job, but I would like to point out some errors I found. You mispelled DarkLotusJuggalo's name in the Special Congratulations List and Dave's new alias is Life. Other than that, you did a magnificent job mate.

I noticed that just after I posted. I says DarkLotusAngel. Lol, There are so many users with the word angel in it these days I just got a bit confused and didnt think to check it when typing.

and Dave's new alias is Life. Other than that, you did a magnificent job mate.

I also noticed that just after I posted. It has been changed in my saved document and now that you can no longer change your username, I am pretty safe from now on.

I also updated a few users who have changed there usernames to the same thing but with a capital letter at the start. So sorry to those people, I have noticed that there is a caps at the start and the next update will not have the same error.

Other than that, I think I did an alright job. Although every time I look at the barracks list it looks so small. Does anyone else look at the list and think that?

Anyway, I am glad you liked it PenguinLink!

That kind of pace is impossible at this time of year though, so don't beat yourself up too much. Only in the Summer, at peak submission season, can you get star pace, or at least hope to. It is still a damn good pace though, even for the Summer- higher than anything I've ever managed.

Woo, thanks for the update :D

Sentio – 1297
pepeatumi – 1149

ADT – 1069
ArtDanVal – 1022

Now that's more like it! Congrats to everyone else bombing along in these slow months.

Special congratulations: Sentio, Second time as No.1 Gainer!

*cough* third time- I made it just before christmas, but was bumped down due to a mistake behind pepeatumi, and technically was first in the last update as well, but was behind MadCow due to another mistake. It's nice to actually see my name at the top for once :D

Top gainers, repeat offenders: Sentio, Dave!

Welcomes and yeays, and stuff :D

10 // 26582 // 958 // 68.4- // Hemlok

Lol, you're going down my friend, you're going down :D

11 // 26349 // 1297 // 92.5- // Sentio

Not bad- I'm going to get over 100 sooner or later!

12 // 26070 // 1071 // 76.5+ // dave

Stay back!

13 // 25725 // 091 // 06.5- // LittleWashu

First member I've passed in a while- see you at EGSC :)

20 // 11186 // 915 // 65.3- // PenguinLink

I'm watching you- you can't hide now you're in the top 300!! :D

Why thank you- I will be going along at this pace right up to EGSC- we'll have to see how I feel once I get there, and whether I'm ahead of Hemlok- he remains my primary aim :)

So a slow portal this evening I see- I'm glad I didn't miss much while I was shooting Nazis. Anyone see that blank submission earlier? That was beyond depressing when that got through- some users are such stat whores. All they had to do was watch it! Too many giant submissions get through without people watching them- they just assume they are good and pass them while they are loading. This was made all the worse by the author taking out the music and reducing the file size to less than 1kb after it passed. Sad :(

*salutes*
